This week on the biggest loser two engaged couples face off for the chance at a $50,000.00 dream wedding. The red team from Hollywood, Ca are Bruce and Kimmi. Bruce and Kimmi met at work and for Bruce it was love at first sight. Kimmi and Bruce started renovations on their house which caused them to eat out all the time and also caused them to gain a lot of weight. Kimmi had bought the wedding dress of her dreams which she could no longer even zip up and decided to shop for a new one but when trying on a dress her size she felt devestated feeling as though she looked like a house and didn’t want to feel that way on her wedding day. Bruce’s motivation was that his dad passed away from weight related issues and he doesn’t want the same for himself.

The blue team from Honollulu, Hi are Nick and Lael who also met through work. Nick was a triathelete and a great competitor until he also became a great competitor with food. Lael’s mom suffered from a heart attack at an early age due to high cholesterol and Lael also having high cholesterol doesn’t want the same thing to happen to her. Both Nick and Lael want to be healthy to start a family and to be around to love eachother for a long time.

At the first weigh in the Blue team was up first. Lael weighed in at 164 and Nick was 251 making their team total 415lbs. The red team was up next and Bruce weighed in at 267 while Kimmi weighed 215 making their team total 482lbs.

First work out Jillian as usual gets tough on her team pushing them beyond their limits. Kimmi felt like she was going to fall off the treadmil and begged to be able to hold on and Jillian refused. Jillian is aggresive and wants to prove to people that they are capable of doing what they think they are incapable of doing.Bob takes Nick and Lael on a hike and Lael was feeling the pain every step of the way. After the hike Bob takes them back to the bungalow to teach them how to eat fast food in a healthy way.

The first temptation was to eat what’s on a plate then stack it in the winner’s circle. The last plate on top when the yellow light flashes wins the wedding gift. The wedding gift was a camera and a videa camcorder. Just when it looked like neither team was going to do the temptation Lael from the blue team started it off by eating a choclate morsel and stacked the plate on the winner’s circle. Bruce (red team) said game on and picked up a plate and did the same. Nick followed with peach gummi rings, then it was Bruce again with chocolate chip cookies. Neither team knew when the timer would go off so they had to keep eating. While Lael was trying to finish off a plate of spring rolls the yellow light came on making the red team the winner’s of the temptaion. Bruce consumed 476 calories by himself, and the blue team consumed 496 calories together.

The challenge was for the first team to build their wedding cake by running through a garden and finding the layers to their cake and bringing the whole cake back to their table wins. The men were blindfolded and could only listen to the direction of their future wives. After a close race Nick and Lael won winning a months worth of meals specially cooked and delivered right to their door.

The final weigh in at the ranch the winning team wins a honeymoon to a couples resort in Jamaica. Blue team was up first and Lael started at 164lbs weighed in at 147 which gave her a 17lb weight loss. Nick started at 251 and weighed in at 224, he had lost 27lbs! Their team total was 44lbs at 10.60%. For the red team Bruce was first with a starting weight of 267 and his new weight was 244, he had lost 23lbs. Kimmi started at 215 and weighed 201which gave her a 14lb weight loss and also gave the blue team the honeymoon.

Both teams head home to continue on their own to win a dream wedding. Both teams are given the exercise equipment and healthy food to help them with their success. Shortly after leaving the ranch Kimmie and Bruce head out to eat for the first time. They are surrounded by all their favorite fattening chinese food but they stay strong and order healthy entrees. In Hawaii Nick and Lael receive their challenge prize. For the first month a chef prepares their breakfast, lunch, and dinners according to Bob’s calorie request for the couple.

9 weeks until the final weigh in Kimmi and Bruce go to a florist to pick out their flowers and get a suprise visit from Jillian. Jillian was very pleased with the new and improved red team. She takes them to the gym for an extreme workout and Bruce who couldn’t even walk on the treadmil at the ranch was running at a high speed and smiling all the way. Nick and Lael had been training to compete in a triathlon and the day had finally come. Bob showed up to give support and to watch his team compete. Nick and Lael completed .5 miles of swimming, 26 miles of biking, and ran 6.2 miles.

Back in California Jillian asks Kimmi to try on her wedding dress so Jillian can see how far she has come. Kimmi wasn’t ready because she had wanted the next time she put the dress on to be the time it fit and she didn’t feel like she was there yet. Kimmi tried it on anyway and shared an emotional moment with Jillian when she realized that the dress fit beautifully, by the time she wed she would have to get it taken in.

At the final weigh in both teams stepped out onto the stage and were seperated from their competition by a mirror. The mirror was pulled away and the teams were left facing their competition and the competition for both sides looked great! For the first time that I can think of the teams ran to eachother and gave eachother hugs and words of support which was great, that is the way it should be. The red team was up first Kimmi started at 215 and weighed 155 with a weight loss of 60lbs. Bruce started at 267 and weighed in at 173 with a weight loss of 94lbs. That gave them a team total of 154lbs and a percentage of 31.95%. The blue team was up next and Nick was 251 and weighed 183 giving him a weight loss of 68lbs. Lael was 164 and weighed in at 121 with a weight loss of 43lbs. Both teams did an excellent job but the red team won the wedding! Congratulationd to Bruce and Kimmi!
