Time Travel & Weight Loss Success
Hi everyone,
I was thinking this morning about how far we have all come. Some of us have been doing the lifestyle change thing now for weeks, months, even years...But it doesnt matter how or when we began; just that we began at all. I guess I was trying to remember back to when I didnt have much of a life because of my weight holding me back in so many ways and turning me into somebody that I never wanted to be and didnt even recognize. I am glad those memories are starting to fade finally (along with the fat) and not becoming my permanent reality. However I think that we all need to journey back to the past on occasion in order to stay on track for our futures.
When traveling back you may want to ask yourself these questions to enhance your experience...
1) What was life like before I "changed?"
2) What was the last straw that made me change my life?
3) How have I changed since starting?
4) Am I proud of all that I have accomplished thus far?
5) Am I going to make this a lifelong committment?
6) How has everything else around me changed since I have?
This is why journals are awesome to have. They provide a window into your past, and can show you how you have reshaped your lives and bodies. When you get a second; take a glance at some of your earlier entries. I bet they will be eye opening. This may or may not be painful for some of you; however it is necessary. If we dont learn how/why we got to be the way we were, and learn how to fix it; then we will be that much more likely to slip back into what is "comfortable." I am sure some of you newbies to the site are thinking, "I just started." So what do I have to look at? In that five minutes it took you to register as a member to this site; you changed your behavior for the positive. Everyone has to start somewhere right?
Happy traveling!
