member list - The Biggest Loser Fansite Forums

I was looking through the member list-- I really don't know why. I think because I noticed how many members there actually are, but so few regularly post.
I get that a lot of people probably register, make one, or just a few posts, and never come back. I've done that myself on some sites. And some people post a lot for awhile, and then kind of forget about it, I guess. Or they just no longer have time.. whatever.....
But what I don't get is how many registered member have ZERO posts! Why register, if you're not going to post anything?
I don't know-- it's not important. I just found that rather odd, that people would take the time to register, when they didn't have anything they wanted to say.

Well..I started out gung ho in posting...but then other things in my life took precedence (spelled wrong I'm sure LOL) and I never came back...I do sneak in on occasion to read some tips but rarely take the time to log in and post...as for those who sign up but never say anything...maybe shy? Maybe going for the world record...The most memberships to forums....who knows LOL

Heres the reason.

There are programs that people (website owners) run that go from forum to forum registering and making posts that advertise their site. This is done all automatically. Since I enabled the image verification on registration you notice there is no more of these spammy posts. But the program they run still tries to register but never does because it requires that image verification. But the name still shows up as registered.
