Friend pointed this out to me due to others we know who have had gastrics and one we know that we think now has an alcohol problem. Funny thing is, the very next day on one of the morning news shows CBS? ABC? (I know it's not NBC) they had a segment on the very same subject. It's an article about how a large amount of Gastic patients are indeed losing weight, but also changing their addictions to alcohol, drugs and other vises.
The doctor on the morning show said something that I found was partly funny, but very true. "Having a Gastric Bipass is like changing your seat on the Titanic. Either way, if you don't change how you're getting there you're still going to sink."
