True. When my former best friend had hers, she was 400 lbs (or pretty damn close). After her gastric, she worked at her diet and was doing a little bit of walking, she got down to 210. Then some life things happened, stress set in, she stopped eating as well (and took up drinking alcohol ) and stopped walking. Now she's up to 260ish.

She said at first you can't eat ANYTHING. It's just broth. Then you start on your solids. You aren't eating much, but you are eating many times a day. Eventually her stomache expanded so she could eat more. Thing is, when you eat too much, you end up purging (vomiting) every time. It's so gross.

This starts up again on Sunday. I'm so excited! I probably won't be able to watch it them, but what I love about these cable shows is that they repeat them so often, I know I'll catch it sometime!
Check it out, if you get VH1.
I'm really interested to see how they'll address Carnie's gastric bypass operation. Last time, a guy had had liposuction, and they didn't seem to be too keen on that. I'm sure they'll have something to say about it. It ought to be interesting.

That show definitely will be repeated a million times. I went on the website to find out the regularly scheduled day and time and I was amazed how much they repeat it. It comes on Sundays 2x. I am looking forward to watching it.

Hey! I caught the first episode this morning! I missed about the first 10 minutes, so I didn't get to see all of their 'fit test'. But I'm sure I'll catch it sometime. It's so good to see the stories -- the emotions, and the reasons for wanting to get healthier. Aside from the fat that these are celelbrities ( ok , not exactlly 'A' list, but still well known), they have the same emotions, weaknesses, and struggles as we all do. Being well known makes it worse for them.
I felt so bad for Carnie, because, like she said, people watched her so closely -- and felt free to comment on every ounce lost or regained. I couldn't imagine that kind of scrutiny. I hope they all reach their goals.

I think Carnie does reach her goals because I saw her on the TV Guide channel, you know they not only do the tv listings now but they have shows and commercials too, anyways they said something about her losing a lot of weight on the show. I only saw her for about 10 seconds but you could tell that she lost weight.

A new episode tomorrow! I'm excited to see how they do on their weigh in's.
I can't believe how big Bone Crusher is, and yet he can still play basketball, and move like that. Not for much longer, if he doesn't get some of that weight off! 400-plus pounds!!!

They set a new record for the most # of pounds lost at a single weigh in. Cool!!! Bone Crusher set a new record for a single person's # of pounds lost at 1 weigh in. I think it might be a record setting season!

They had great weigh ins. That's great. Most of them seem to be on Dr. Ian Smith's "Fat Smash Diet". I wonder what that's about? I might look into it. Of course Nick is the jerk, they have 1-2 each season.

I think that fat smash diet has you on only fruits and veggies for a week, or something like that. I'm sure there's more info on their website. They go through some kind of cleanse like that, to get the bad stuff out.
Yeah, Nick is a little high strung isn't he. I have a hard time dealing with super-competitive people like that. He thinks he's encouraging, but it sure doesn't come off that way.
I think he and Angie are going to butt heads quite a bit. She apparantly has health issues, and I don't think he's going to be particularly understanding.
