Ok, this is kind of a repeat of a previous thread, but there is a show, (can't remember the network --WE???) in which the actress Mo'Nique is the star, or host, or whatever. It's called F.A.T. Chance, and it's a plus sized beauty pagent. It was on awhile ago, and I have recently seen an advertisement for it, but I don't know if it's new shows, or just repeats

Anyway, check out her site, and check out the show and some of the other things she's done.
What do you think of her? Is she a positive roll model for overweight women? Or is she strenghening a stereotype?
What about this show? Will it, or has it helped to end any racism for overweight people, or does it just reinforce these attitudes?
I really don't know what to think about her. In some ways -- great. Yeah, sure -- a woman can be a plus size, and still be gorgeous and sexy. On the other hand, I feel like she's advocating an unhealthy life-style.
Anyone ever seen this show? I haven't -- just a few commercials. It kinda made me uncomfortable. It seemed degrading, but then again, I think most beauty pagents are, in some ways.
