I really want to thank you guys for your concern, thoughts, and prayers. You have no idea how much this post means to me - you actually have me in tears right now. I apologize for not being in sooner to give you all an update - she is home now. She is having a difficult time speaking - the slur and speed of her speech has gotten better so they decided not to do test to see if she had a stroke...she has speech therapy to get her voice back and will be seeing a lung specialist for her asthma - it has really kicked into high gear. I called her yesterday just to tell her that I love her and I was calling to see how she was - I couldn't talk with her b/c she couldn't talk - she barely was able to say I love you back to me. It is very very hard to hear her struggle - we just pray that she keeps writing on the paper her hubby gave her so she will recover sooner....she loves to talk! lol I'm going to go see her tomorrow while I go weigh in - I can't wait to see her! The last time I saw her she wasn't good at all and I want her to see the kids. I really miss her - we talk every single day on the phone and this makes it difficult b/c she can't talk. Thank God for email and myspace...we stay in contact that way. lol Yesterday they had a scare - her blood sugars went low really quick and she was walking in from the car and had to lay down on her stairs outside the front door - she began to sweat and couldn't move. They were able to get her up the stairs and gave her some sugar water and orange juice...thankfully it went up and she's okay. She lives with her sister-in-law and their family so she is always with somebody - we didn't like it when they lived on their own b/c when she gets sick like this she needs someone with her at all times...she isn't healthy enough to be on her own and that is scary.
