Memorial Day

What plans do you have for Memorial Day?
On Sunday a friend of ours that we helped move is hosting a cook-out so we will be attending that and on Monday my husband has to work so I plan on doing some painting around the house.

I am off work at noon on Friday (gotta love those summer hours!!)
Friday I am going to spend the afternoon walking. I am going to walk to work and back home to see how long it takes me (cause I want to start walking to work on Fridays)
Dinner with hubby Friday night.
Saturday hubby is meeting with a lady at church for a while. The we are going to go to the ballpark and buy tickets for next weekend's baseball game. Then we are going to look at a model home that we are thinking about building sometime in the future (we have seen it before, but we are going through again)
Sunday we just have church and I will probably spend sometime at the nursing home with my parents.
Monday we are having a cookout. I think we are having a total of 15 adults and 2 kids. We are grilling mesquite marinated chicken breasts, onion soup mix oven potatoes, lettuce salad and other people are bring things. Should be fun! Hope you all have a great weekend!

I can't wait until this weekend, I get 4 days off!!

Saturday they're having an Italian Festival in town. My daughter has to work at it all day so I'll probably be hanging out there some. It'll be hard though because they have the best spaghetti, italian sausage, salad and bread there. Plus all of the other vendors selling funnel cakes, cotton candy and all that good stuff. I better eat a good healthy breakfast before I go so I won't be hungry.

Sunday will be church and probably going to the cemetery to decorate my Dad and Brother's graves.

Monday and Tuesday I'm off work and I think me, my bf and my kids are going camping, maybe.

I am such an introvert. I would hibernate all weekend if I could. My bf is coming over tonight to watch movies. On Sunday or Monday we are going to my parents because my older brother is in town with his wife and 3 girls. One of the girls is a new baby. A little over a month old. I am excited about meeting her!! So my parents will cookout and the weather is so beautiful I know we will head out on a walk at some point. Probably just the girls.

We don't have Memorial Day here in Canada. We had Victoria Day last weekend. We had our holiday on May 22nd...fireworks and the whole sha-bang.

Our plans consisted of building a huge deck for my parents. My hubby, dad, and I worked hard all weekend...hubby and dad are finishing it up today. We have been out in the sun and we all have a great tan now...lol. We pitched out tents in my parent's backyard and camped out. We had lots of bbq food and gatorade. We had fun!
