I hope your husband's surgery goes well...I'm sure it will!

In the meantime encouragement is sometimes just as beneficial as a workout buddy...and you have lots of that I'm sure from your husband and you can get that from the boards!

Future Successes

I am starting the weight loss challenge at my school tomorrow. I am super revved up and motivated to give this my best effort. I have been doing "okay" on my diet, water and exercise. But, I know I can do so much better than that. I will keep you posted on my successes to come!

I am very surprised on how well I am doing with drinking water. I am one that can't drink water from a glass/cup...it has to be in a bottle. One thing that I have found to help is having a bottle of water with me at ALL times! When I finish a bottle I get a new one - this keeps me from getting something else to drink when I'm thirsty. The only time I have a Pepsi is when I am out to dinner - I was drinking Pepsi or Sweet Tea all day every day...I never had water. I am now drinking close to 100 ounces of water every day. Great job Patty!!!! I'm doing pretty well on water myself. Not as much as you though.

I'm just not a big drinker. I use to get a Dr. Pepper when I got to work at 8:30 in the morning and it would last me until lunch...Then lunch I would get a glass of water and it would last me the rest of the day. I have to make myself drink!!

Susie...the reason for me to keep a bottle of water next to me reminds me that I need to drink lots of it. My bottles of water are definitely a power tool to me losing weight. You wouldn't think that I never drank water before now - The ONLY time I drank water was when taking medication - not even a full cup. Crazy huh - now i love it!

water

Lipton has a green tea to go that you add to a bottle of water and it is really good. I a jug that is 74 ozs and I drink that everyday and I can tell a difference.

My latest success is I have dropped of my plateau that i have been on for a few weeks! I am so excited and even more motivated. I am looking forward to going shopping soon!!!! Will need smaller clothes! Also drinking more water daily. I find if I use those 1 liter bottles and drink two a day it helps as it doesn't seem like so much when I only have to drink 2 lol. Then after I have that I will let my self have something else to drink that usually isn't until evening when I will only have one or so. Sometimes I even want more water.
