Good point. I liked her a lot and am sad to see her go, but I wish her the best on an actual singing career.

I really wish they didn't have to have 'country night' themed songs. Why country? Why not rap or jazz or love song night? It just seems that country night is 1) not too creative 2) biased towards some contestants and 3) They have a Nashville Idol for Country music already. I'll freely admit I'm being biased here. I have nothing against country, I just didn't think it was appropriate for this contest. (And I wish Kelly would go away.)

I'm excited about next week, Queen. Definately some good song choices to be had in that.

Yeah but too bad for Bucky and Kelly that they didn't even do well on a night that should be all theirs LOL

I know that Kelly is getting votes from the website www.votefortheworst.com so they are fighting hard to keep her since nobody likes her.

I don't really understand the site...if they are so mad at the producers why even watch the show? Thats almost the definition of either a sore loser or someone with absolutly no life.

Really? They want to keep her because they hate her? So ironic.

I've never voted so I suppose I can't say too much about who stays and goes, but I am one of the small number of people who has never owned a cell phone, so I can't text message anything.

Some people just think that they are being so funny and so clever when they vote for the worst. It's pretty much pathetic. But I don't care. I don't vote -- no way am I sitting around waiting to get through!
I think it's weird Mandisa left, when she is so popular. I mean, she was always in the top group wasn't she? Do you really think those that vote for her, wouldn't, just because she had a bad night? I don't. Once you have a favorite, I think you would stick with them, even through a rough night. Mandisa's fans aren't going to say 'I love her, but she wasnt' so good tonight -- I think I'll vote for Bucky instead."
Makes me wonder --- but I watched Dancing with the Stars, too, so I know how someone really bad can stay around longer than they should. Some really good dancers got kicked off, before Master P, who hardly danced a step.
I don't know about you guys, but I question the legitimacy of some of these shows. I think the judges definitely try to sway things. Seems like they are trying to shove bucky and kellie down our throats! The judges seem contradictory too. Chis is applauded for 'not selling out' and 'knowing who he is', and others are scolded for not taking risks, for not stretching their limits. I also agree about how dull the show would be without Simon. Randy, once in a while, will say something constructive. But Paula is a total flake.
I agree about the 'country night' too Jules. I like some country -- hate others, but I just don't think it fits in with this show. Not when there are shows like 'Nashville Star' out there.
Bleh -- my little rant on AI. Take it for what it's worth -- not much!!!

I love Mandisa too. To be honest though she was making bad song choices. On country night she would have done better with Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" or Leann Rimes/Trisha Yearwood's " How Do I Live". A better showcase of her voice. I can not believe Bucky is still in it...I think Chris will win overall. I had predicted Mandisa and Chris as the final two but now I think it may be Chris and Taylor or Chris and Elliott. Elliott brings his "A" game every night. Kelly...I can't explain it...she just gets on my nerves.

Kelly opens her mouth and I just have to roll my eyes, I also have to pray that people realize that southerners truely are not like that...I definately agree with Chris winning, if fact, I just downloaded the "walk the line" ringtone that he did the other night. I'm not sure who will go with him though, either elliot or katherine...maybe, unless people don't stop voting for kelly.

I think Chris will win too. I do hope Elliot stays in there to the end too. I like Catherine and think she has a very pretty voice, although sometimes the songs she's picked to sing don't show it too well. Those are the three that I'd like to see stay.

Believe it or not I do like Bucky's voice! I don't think he's done well enough to stay though, expecially last week for the country show. He seemed to be offkey for half the song I thought. Taylor has been fun to watch at times and "interesting" (LOL), but after last week's performance I definitely think he should have at least been in the bottom three.

Okay...I have to ask Carrie - who is Miss Tarantula Eyes? You have me stumped here...lol. I also am annoyed by watching Kelly...I think she acts "dumb" to get attention. Mandisa did make a horrible choice of song for country night...why on earth would anyone do Shania Twain - I can't stand Shania...all of her songs sound the same. Urgh! I am still an Elliot fan - I really like his voice...just don't like his movements while he sings.
