Work
For those of you that work, do you tend to get stressed about finding time for your workouts?
I work 30 hours a week...but I always feel like I have so much on my plate to get finished...cooking, laundry, cleaning, running errands, paying bills, making time for my bf and family/friends...AND my workouts...plus some relaxation time.
I sometimes feel there's not enough hours in a day!

Absolutely Missy.
I work 40-50 hours a week and I am a single parent so it can be very hard. Some years back I got very obsessional about exercise, fitting in my 1.5 hour workout everyday no matter what. sometimes i was on the treadmill till 11pm. i am now trying to have a more balanced approach, i workout in the evenings on the weekdays, as soon as i get in while the kid does her homework then we get to spend the evening together. by doing it 1st i dont allow other things to get in the way. after that i do what i can reasonably do and no more. i have decided i am not superwoman and never will be therefore no point aspiring to the impossible. on the weekends i workout as soon as i get up and the rest of the day is free. i take days off when i need them rather than timetable the rest days as i find some days i need a rest more than others or something unavoidable comes up..
Life is too short to be stressed out!!
Take care.
Hope you have a good day

Yes, I do find it difficult. I try and work out 3 times a week. I usually fit it in by going once on a Saturday morning, once on the evening when DH works late anyway so I don't feel I am neglecting him and one other time. A lot of the time when I am in the gym, I feel like I should be at home, catching up on housework or laundry etc. and I get stressed that I am going to have to do it when I get home but I also know I have to take care of myself and make time for myself and going to the gym is part of that.

I do always fit my workouts in. I am still going to the gym 5 times a week...I just find that by the time I get home, shower, make my food...it's time to go to work. I don't get a lot of time to relax

It's definitely difficult - that's why I limit my gym-time to 3 times a week otherwise I would never get anything done and my poor DH would feel very neglected!!! I'd like to get some home exercise equipment though so I can exercise at home and then I can talk to DH, watch tv etc. while I'm exercising at the same time.

I think maybe I find it more stressful because I just started going back to work and it's a lot to handle right off. I was off from working for a year due to my anxiety...so I think I'm a little overwhelmed right now with handling everyday stresses, I'm sure I'll overcome this eventually.
