Yes, it's not only superficial, but dangerous as well. And, it's not just that kids think 'being fat' is so ugly. But that being 'normal' is ugly. Or maybe this is a better way to put it -- not being like the girls they see on tv. So, you must be stick thin...and have giant inflated boobs.
I don't want to get to graphic here, but I have had 2 kids, and breastfed them all. When you make too much milk, your breasts get engorged. They are huge, and hard, and hurt so much! And they look just like these girls who have these ridiculous boob jobs! ( this doesn't happen a lot,--usually only at first, while your body is still adjusting to everything -- I don't want to scare anyone off breastfeeding -- it's wonderful!)
But I can't figure why anyone would want to look like that. And because I know how it feels if your boobs look like that, from natural reasons, I cringe when I look at them! They just look like they should hurt!
Sorry about all this boob talk. It's just something that really bugs me. These girls are trying to look more like a cartoon character, than a real person. And for what? To have some dirty old guy, or jerky young guy ogle your chest? Gross!
I hate the strip clubs too. These women act like it's their choice, and they like that they're doing. They have no problem with it! But it's hurting them, even if they don't realize it. They are reducing themselves to pieces of meat. And then there's the pathetic guys who frequent these places, and think the girls flirt with them, because they really like them. So why go try and have a relationship with a real woman?
It's just sad -- people wasting their lives for a fantasy.

The fact that the girl is automatically considered "hot" just because she's barely wearing anything. I have seen many stereotypical women out there that have the body, the fake tans, the skimpy clothes...but their face is nothing special to look at. BUT...they are considered "hot" because they are almost naked.

I have to say this is so annoying...my husband will see a woman with a nice body and his first comment - "She's hot!" Give me a break - look at her face she is ugly as sin. He says "Well, she has a HOT body." HELLO - WHO CARES?

When I was in high school, they were called 'neck-downs'. Only worth looking at from the neck down! Yeah, I know...really mean.....but it was high school! And, it was a term the guys used.
I guess it's not quite the same either, because no one dressed the way they do now.
I have nothing against dressing sexy, if it's an appropriate time and place. But it's gotten out of hand. And, just because it's skimpy, doesn't mean it's sexy.
I can't believe the way the girls dress in high school now! If a school doesn't have a dress code, they need to get one. No bare mid-drifts -- no halters-- no underwear ( including thongs) showing above your jeans... The list could go on and on, but at least this would stop some of 'half-nakedness' you see on these young girls! Where are their mothers?????
ps. -- Yes, Patty Ann, a bloke is a man!

I agree with you here. Young girls should not be giving off those impressions at that age. They should be focusing on their education instead of what they look like...and it's unfortunate that society has placed those standards into their heads.
