NutriSystem
I know some of you have been waiting for me to let ya know what I think about Nutrisystem. Well Ladies and Gents...I am truly impressed. Not only is the food very tasty, you feel full after you're done eatting.
I have all sorts of choices too...which is neat because I am not the kind of person who wants to eat the same things more then once in a week. (I hate left overs ) And another thing is...you actually get chocolate cake...or the cinnamon roll dessert bar. That's just way too yumm-o if you ask me.
Oh, and also, you get this nifty little journal thing. It tells you what you should eat daily...and what items you need to add to your meal plans.
For example...lets say I wanted to eat breakfast:
I can have my Nutrisystem pancakes (Yeah, you can even have pancakes! Isn't that just neat?!) Then I need to add one dairy and one fruit serving. You kind end up feeling like all you're doing is eatting, but, you really aren't. You're just eatting a balanced meal...which I for one was not used to doing.
Then it comes with a guide to eatting out, because sometimes it's just not possible to be home to eat. I just pull out my handy dandy does and don'ts notebook, and feel guilt free.
All and all, out of a possible 100 points, I give this program a 98.9% vote. It would have been higher, but I haven't tried all the dinners yet. Hahaha.
Lots of hugs and kisses y'all
Lady Jami
P.S. I do realize I have rambled endlessly...I'm just excited is all.

I have a friend...(a very skinny friend) who wanted to lose twelve pounds on NutriSystem and she loved it. No clue how the meals are but they look yummy. They are marketing some of the meal and snack bars in the grocery stores in my area. I like the Lemon Blueberry Bar and the Caramel one. But my favorite snack of all are the Apple Cinnimon Soy Crisps. 100 cals a bag and they taste like Cheerios and Cinnimon. The pretzles are a little bland, but edible. I am going to try and put them in the microwave and then dip them in mustard. It isnt Aunt Martha's Brand, but it will do. They also have a few other snacks I have yet to try. But I am sticking with the soy crisps. Sweet and satisfying.

I have always wondered about it. How expensive is it? I eat alot of lean cuisines so i probably spend the same amount.

It costs 289.46 for the auto-shipment program. You save something like 10% a month, plus free shipping this way. On your 4th shipment, it jumps to 15% savings.
With the amount of food you get, I think it's well worth it personally. It also helps avoid temptations that you may otherwise have. I know for me, there were just times being in the grocery store was a battle of will. With nutrisystem, it's pretty clear what you're allowed to have, and when you're allowed to have it. I need that sort of direction, or else I'll eat at all hours of the day and night.
I read that you should take a bite, set your fork/spoon down, chew..take a sip of water, and repeat the process again until you feel like you've had enough to eat. It said to never allow yourself to feel overly full and bloated, and to keep in mind that it takes 20 minutes for your brain to tell you you're full. It kind of makes me think about all the times I've finished eatting, and felt miserable. Had I slowed down, and paid attention to what my body really wanted, I wouldn't have put on so much weight. So, as I said before, I love the program. The food is good, the information is endless, and with the support I've recieved here, I feel most anything is possible.
Lots of hugs!

Long time no talk girly. I've missed you! Anywho...the food is wonderful.
For lunch today, I had Fettuccini Alfredo with Vegetables and Mushrooms. It was really really yummy. For breakfast, I had scrambled eggs with cheese. I thought for sure it would taste terrible since the eggs came in a package that looked like the "cup o soup" package. Much to my surprise, you really cannot tell a difference. It was wonderful!
I have not tried the soy chips yet...I did have the carmel crunch popcorn though. It was very very good. I only managed to eat half though. I was still full from dinner, and that was three hours after I had eatten.
Oh, and another nifty thing is, you can take your food anywhere with you. Nothing needs to be put in the fridge or the freezer. So, no matter where I go, or what I am doing, I can stay on my program. I was kinda freaked out that the dinner items didn't need to be stored in the fridge at first...but then I thought to myself...well duh, this is perfect for a person with a family. You need the space for their food items....and you can just store yours in the pantry, out of the way.
Geez, I am rambling again. I'm sorry for that.
I hope all is well with you hun, and you're happy!
*Hugs*

Hi Lady Jami,
It has been a long time! I havent really spoken with anyone on here in a while with the exception of PM's and Journal responses. Everyone has different schedules and I have not been feeling as chatty as I normally do. Stress, and my emotions are all over the map, as of late. Maybe that is why Google Map cant pin me down!! I did think of NutriSystem at one point, but then I realized that I cant have somebody holding my hand for the rest of my life. The only way I am going to do this is if I do it myself. I think that everyone has to do this their own way. If I dont cure my insides first, there isnt a diet out there that will save me. I do like the NutriSystem snacks though. If you and anyone else out there is successful out there on a plan, then by all means, go for it. It's how I started out way back when. So what's new? Hope all is well for you. Keep me posted on your progress. That's great that the food tastes real. Nothing worse than "diet food that tastes like diet food."

Awww...I'm sorry you're under so much stress hun. I really am. If you need anything, let me know. I'll give you my number or something and be as supportive as I possibly can be.
I understand about the holding hand part. I don't think this program is for everyone. My biggest issue is, I cannot cook healthy. If it's not deep fried, chicken fried, or mashed and covered in gravy, I can't cook it. It's just easier for me to grab and go, rather then try to measure everything, and eat. Perhaps when I've gotten used to portion control, I'll try to do things on my own...until then, this is best possible program for me.
I know you had said you liked the snacks. Have you tried the Cordial Cherry's? Oh my goodness are they yummy. And they taste just like the real kind. My only issue is, they give you too many. So, I just put them in the freezer, and wait for my next chocolate attack.
All is well for me hun....outside of trying to correct some bad behavior I noticed. I think I was turning into a snob. I just had to check myself, and get my goals in order.
Carrie, I hope you're feeling better. I really do. You're far too wonderful to be sad. *Hugs for you*
Let me know if you need me for anything.
