An Idea Regarding Cravings!!

I was reading on another website and came across a great idea for when you get a craving!!

It said that when you get the craving...immediately go and do some sort of exercise...it said to get to the gym or to take a walk around the block. Take your mind off of the food and focus on your weight loss instead!!

Just thought it might be an idea for those of you who are struggling with cravings.

Thanks I have also heard this. Another idea is to do house cleaning, take a bath, read a book, write in your journal, etc.

That's a great idea! I'd heard to keep yourself busy so you won't eat out of boredom, but I like your exercise idea better.

I had this problem at work lastnight around midnight when it was starting to die down at the bar. I wanted a candy bar sooooo bad. I tried to stay busy but I couldn't shake the craving. Then I asked myself am I hungry or am I just bored. The answer was bored. So I said NO you are NOT having it. It flipped something in my head and the craving wasn't near as strong and I resisted!!!! YEAH ME!!!

Some great ideas here!

I also swear by the distraction technique - drink some water, go get some exercise, clean the house, read a book, get away from the kitchen any way you can!!!

My WW leader swears by the 'go clean your teeth and put your pyjamas on' method - once you're ready for bed, you don't think about food so much!!!! (of course, this isn't very helpful when you're in the office in the middle of the day!!!)
