every day life

Ok, I wasn't sure where to put this, so I made a new thread for our "every day lives".

I just wanted to pop in and say that Science Fair work for me is nearly done. I have a few graphs to help my son with, but all reports, titles, boarders, bibliographies, cover pages, etc... are complete with the exception of my son's graphs, and a few pictures!

Yeah for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm spending the day cleaning our apartment today. My bf and I do the cleaning together, we split up the chores so it goes faster. Hopefully I can work up a sweat and burn a few calories while I'm doing it.

I start my new job tomorrow at the TD Bank. I'm excited, but nervous at the same time. I haven't really worked in over a year due to severe anxiety problems...but I just keep reminding myself that I can do it!

Today I have been a bum!! Tom and I slept in a little skipped church (partially cause of the threat of freezing rain). It's 2:00 and I am still in my lounge pants and a t-shirt. I had to run to the grocery store earlier for a couple things that I forgot yesterday. I thre on my hubby's Bears Jacket (which is like 2 sizes too big for me. Still in my lounge pants and t-shirt and running shoes. I saw my reflection in something and realized that I hadn't even brushed my hair.. I would be a prime canidate for What Not To Wear! LOL
Tom and Buddy are napping. Once they wake up I am going to clean the kitchen... maybe. Making a weight watchers baked ziti with chicken breast for dinner tonight.

Today I got up and read a book and drank some coffee out on the balconey. It was very relaxing. Then I got dressed and went to my Weight Watchers meeting, weighed 177 (down 18 lbs.! although this morning I weighed 175-drat! ) Was still happy about the weightloss so I decided to reward myself by going and getting my hair spiral permed. It looks good as far as I can tell, I can't wait until it is dry so I can really see what it looks like. Now I am posting for a little while and then I have to grade papers and prepare lesson plans for school this week. After that, I will make fideo for dinner, and while Desperate Houswives is on, I will do the treadmill for atleast 1 hour. I hope to get to bed by 10-10:30 tonight. We will see how that goes, I never get to bed at a reasonable time on Sunday, I think it is all the anticipation of the week to come.

And by now you've discovered that Desparate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy aren't on tonight, because of those silly Oscars! Ugh-- I hate all these award shows. In no other occupation to they need such constant ego stroking. I could just care less about all the superficial nonsense. I want my Desparate Housewives!!!

No Desperate Housewives-aaahhh! I ended up with such a bad headache last night that I didn't do the treadmill. I made a point to get up early this morning and do it, then I will do it when I come home from work today. (That is what I get for putting it off.) Hope you all have a great day!

Ahh -- Husband is at work, and the kids are off to school! I love them all, but I also love having the house to myself!
It's a bright sunny day. I did all my lesson planning, and preparing, for work yesterday, so all I have to do is..... a mountain of laundry, and clean my dirty, cluttered house. Hmm -- that's ALL!
I'm also going for a walk -- 4 miles today. And I really want to do some yoga or pilates.
My house is really a mess! I only took one day off-- what happened???!!!???
Oh well... sometimes I like to let it get really messy. You work hard, and get it all clean and shiny, and you feel like you're in a new place. It kind of makes me love my house again.
Housework is so tedious -- and most of the time our efforts aren't even noticed. So I like it when I can actually see what I've done all day.
Well, I'd better get crackin'!!!
Have a great day, everyone!

Happy Monday all!
Woke up to lots of snow. The plowing guys forgot to plow our driveway The condo on either side of us was plowed. At least our walks were shoveled. Weighed this morning... up a little - got to get back on track!
Ate only part of my normal egg which crustless quiche this morning... yuck - all i could taste were onions. might stop tonight and make more and throw away what I already have for the week.
Working 8.5 hours today. 2 people on my team are out sick today. Not a good thing when there are only 5 people on our team. Looking out the window still watching it snow.
After work going to do an exericise tape (since I didn't do any this morning cause I was mad about our driveway).
Dinner is leftover baked ziti from last night with a big salad. Do a little laundry. Watch Deal of No Deal and then maybe do some yoga before bed. That's the plan for now. I'm sure it will change may times before the day is over

Just as I thought we were done with Science Fair, I find out we're NOT!!!!! Yesterday, (the day AFTER) the written reports were due, the children were informed they were to have a contents page, their abstract was supposed to be on an entirely separate page (it was already written into the report), the pages were to be numbered, and there was to be a comments page!!!!!! We find out all of this AFTER the written report is expected to have been handed in. Plus, the kids haven't even learned in English class yet how to technically write a report. In the past everything's been simple written assignments, but around here they begin to learn to write a bibliography in fifth grade. They are taught how to properly form their title page then as well, but as for detailed reports, well I guess they learn it in Science, and not in English class!

Ugh! I'm having a PARTY friday night to celebrate the fact that Science Fair is OVER!!!!
