Funny stories

Ok, I figure all the way through this whole process there are bound to be funny stories such as the one that happened to me this evening. So, why not start a thread to share our stories?????

This week our local grocery store has Entimenn (sp?) brand minis on sale b1g1free. Well, I of course have a couple of coupons I was holding onto just for such an occasion for the kid's lunches. Wouldn't you know I get ALL the way inside the store and go to open my envelope for the coupons and that's when I realize I hadn't put them in!!!! So, I decided I'd wait until I went back home to grab my coupons so I could make a quick run to the downtown store. Low and behold, because they're a smaller store, they don't carry the "minis". Sooooo... deciding I just didn't want to pass the deal up I decided to drive ALLLL the way back out to the FIRST store I was at. (Thus making my 3rd trip of the day for THE SAME ITEM!!!!!) Now, wouldn't you know, I drive ALLLL the way back out there, I tow three kids along for the ride (all excited about the brownies they're getting this week for lunches) and they're SOLD OUT!!!!!!

lol, yep, I walked my butt into the store three different times and back out. I made a special trip back home, and STILL wasn't able to buy the JUNK!!!!! Oh well, that's just one less piece of junk that will be here to tempt me, and one less piece of junk my kids will be eating!!!!!

LOL too funny. Atleast you got a workout running around for them. LOL Isn't it funny what we will do to save a penny. LOL

Well NORMALLY I wouldn't make 3 thrips to save $6.00 However, I ABSOLUTELY did not want to go back out tomorrow for them, so I decided to make one last stop this evening for them. I was hoping to stay home and work on the house tomorrow instead of grocery shopping as has been my habit for the last couple of months. This will be my first Saturday to be able to stay at home in a while.

Isn't just crazy how many trips to the grocery store we can make in a month? I always try to plan out what I am going to eat but I always inevitably forget something or run out of what I will need, and then back to the store I go! LOL

I had just been joking to someone about my embarrasing moment where someone thought I was pregnant. It was mortifying! Yesterday, the same thing happened. (I was wearing a maternity looking shirt - thank you Lane Bryant fashion people) She also thought one of my students was my daughter. I looked that lady straight in the eye and said, "I'm not PG, this shirt just accents my fat stomach, but I don't care about that. This is not my daughter." (like that was what was more embarrassing) ha ha
I am either getting more self-confident despite my abundance or I am losing my mind. I hope it is not the 2nd one.

Oh Michele! That's just too funny about making it all about not being the mother of the girl!

I hate when people assume you are PG just because you carry your weight in the abdominal area! This has happened to me for more than 13 years. Even when I was lighter and in the military, I always had a pooch and people would assume I was PG. Makes ya wanna get a t-shirt that says, "No, I am not pregnant, just fat, okay?" LOL

weaver, the girl didn't think it was funny. I had to buy her an ice cream cone to make up for it and she called me mom the rest of the day. I told her to stop or I would not let her choose the name of her new sister.

I've got another funny story. Did you hear the one about the women getting stuck on the swing ride at Six-Flags New Orleans? She held up the ride because she could not get the darn metal chain belt undone because it was wedged under her belly. They offered to let her ride again but unfortunately, the swing ride made her feel like losing her lunch. You guessed it, that was me!

Nope didn't hear that one, and I live in Texas! Don't you get tired of all of these "one size fits all" seats. Whether it is an amusement park, airplane or movie theatre-I just hate it.

my problem is more with the "wedge" factor. I am not that big hip wise. It's the belly extension that gets me. Some of the older trucks (like my hubby has) don't have seats that go back enough. I can't drive his truck because the steering wheel gets wedge beneath my stomach. I can just see expaining to the police officer . . . "sorry, but my stomach made me hit that other car because I could not turn in time." this won't be a problem for long. My motivation is back and the battle of the bulge is on!
