I gave myself the gift of fitness and life. And that feels better than anything I could have been given. Valentine's Day is about love. I think self love should count too. I have wasted too many years hating myself.

Well, my husband is a pretty sweet guy, but not much of a romantic! He tries, sometimes, but it's so foreign to me, I don't give the reaction he'd like. It's fine -- I don't care what he gives me for valentine's day, or any other occasion. I got myself a gift today! One of those Weight Watcher's scales. My old one is ancient, and I have marked where zero is supposed to be with a marker! Not the most accurate!
He did get me some chocolates, and usually gets me a card. But I'm fine with anything, or nothing. I know he loves me, no matter what!

Happy Valentines all!! I got a card from my hubby this morning before work. He also got me a valentines card from our dog and signed it to Mom from Buddy. Our anniversary is Friday so we agreed we would just get eachother cards. I came home from work to a present. I was totally shocked. A beautiful pearl necklace and matching earings and he said we were going out for dinner so I didn't have to cook. He's such a sweetie!!!

Valentine's Gifts

Well, no significant other right now, so no romantic gifts. Thanks goodness I am a teacher-lol! My students of course presented me with lots of candy (which my son inherited.) I also recieved some stuffed animals and 9 balloons-I love balloons! One of the balloons said "from an admirer" but as there are only a few male teachers at my school, it must have been one of my friends, although nobody has fessed up yet. My secret buddy (another teacher) gave me a bouquet of red carnations. When I got home, my son said he felt bad because he wasn't able to buy me anything, so he did the dishes for me-he didn't realize that he was giving me a gift I truly desired-lol!

Oh how sweet!!!!! If you ask me that's the best gift of the whole day!!!! (including those with significant others!) Honey it sounds as if you're doing a great job with that boy, and if he's already figured out doing dishes is a gift, then he's going to make some woman a happy wife one day!

Where did you get your WW scale. I want one and since my valentines day was sooooo crapy maybe I need to go by my own present.

What a wonderful gift... soemtimes it's the little things that mean so much more to us that the things people can buy.

That's so sweet of your son, sounds like you've raised him well. My daughter gave me a really sweet card yesterday morning, it meant so much to me.
