Question Ever forgotten you are overweight?

Have you ever forgotten you are overweight?
Have you ever been walking in a parking lot and go to walk between a small space between 2 cars and end up cleaning both cars with your clothing you you walk past? Or even worse, between 2 people in a store thinking you have room and rub up against them?
Or start to run chasing a little kid and forget you sometimes can hardly walk a mile?
Dropped something on the floor under a desk and just get down on the floor, crawl under the desk and then realize how hard it is to get back up?
Sometimes I forget I am overweight until I see myself in the mirror. Sometimes I think I can run on the bikepath like I used to 15 years ago... until I take the 1st couple of steps.
A lot of times I feel like a thinner, athletic person wearing a 150 pound fat suit. In my dreams I am usually the person I see in my mind. I can't wait till I am the person on the outside that I know I am on the inside

yes, like when your child is hurt and you go running after them only to get out of breathe about 50 yards in. I ran track in high school......... so that is really sad for me

Talking

Yes and no....

I forget I am heavy when I am running because for 12 years all I wanted to do was be able to run again like in High School. But I would have killed myself trying.

They park the darn vans and city buses so close together in the garage that sometimes I wonder how my co workers can get in theirs. (Some weigh over 300 I am guessing). Sometimes I wonder if I would have been able to squeeze between them if I kept eating like I used to. Now I can squeeze through no problem, but it still reminds me that I was once touching everything too. Grocery check out aisles are the worst though. Between unloading groceries to the belt, trying to squeeze between your cart and the "wall o candy" on one side and the tabloids on the other, it's a wonder a normally sized person can get through without knocking something over.

lol, I am ready to take these two 25 lb. sandbags (full of fat) off and set them down by the door! I have always felt like a skinny person carrying around a lot of unwanted baggage.

Ugh..I hate when you leave your car in a parking lot and then come out to find another car parked an inch away...you can barely get your car door open to get in the car...but to top it off, you are on the bigger side which makes the task even harder!!! God that bugs me! *LOL*

Been there, done that... also tried to get in the passagers side and climb over the console to get to the driver's side. Not an easy feat at 300 pounds

I usually remember when around other people -like trying to squish too many people in a small car -skinny people always volunteer to sit together and let me have the front seat. How embarassing. Or if you ever need to borrow/loan clothes and your friends are skinny.

Or when I have to wear a swimsuit I remember and usually "forget" to pack it so I can wear a t-shirt and shorts.

Jules, I totally understand!!! We were at a family gathering once I forgot to bring a sweater and my sister in law offered me a jacket she had in her car. I just put it over my shoulders and had to keep adjusting it so it wouldn't fall off. then someone said it would probably be easier if I just put it on. I didn;t want to admit that there was no way it would fit.

It is very tough being 28 years old and being this heavy. One of the reasons why I am wanting to lose this weight is to play with my kids. I have gone out to the soccer/football fields to play with the kids and found that I could only play for 10 minutes. They would get upset because I couldn't play long...this summer I am striving to play an hour with them. I know that I can do it - they are so excited about my losing weight.

I can't stand it when I am trying to get past somebody and they move an inch - "Hello...I'm bigger than that - can ya move some more?" lol I never say this but that is how I feel.
