The Get Off Your Butt Challenge

Everyone do something today to better yourself. Make at least one exercise goal you would like to achieve. Make it last for at least 30 minutes. If you can do 45min to an hour, good for you! The point of this is just to get yourself moving.

Jog in one spot for 30min
Go for a nice outdoor walk
Do 1/2 an hour of ab crunches
Try some jumping jacks
or skipping
for those of you with a gym membership..spend some time there today

Then, make some time for relaxation.
Light some candles and take a nice long hot bubble bath
Read a book
Listen to some soothing music

Set aside some time everday to do something for you.

Aww-- now I know this board is the right place for me. I was going to be content with curling up with a good book, and/or watching tv for most of the night, but now I'm going to do something ---nothing much - crunches, stretching, lunges-- while I'm watching American Idol. Thanks for the kick in the butt!

This is what I tell myself everyday when I get home from work, get off my butt! The only problem is that by the time I get done working out and then getting ready for work the next day, there never seems to be enough time for the luxurious bubble bath. Maybe this weekend.

I really need this challenge today. I just want to curl up and feel sorry for myself, but I can't. I am going to get up and go to work and then do my pilates or elliptical tonight and watch the BL. And I am going to stick to my points today even though I want to find everything choc and eat it I am going to resist it.

I need to do that... my hubby and I were talking about this exact thing last night. he said that when I get home from work we need to work out together (riding bikes or do our resistance bands exercise video) instead of plaopping front of the boob tube and watching Mash. Tonight when I get home we ARE going to do that.

Lol I tried to drag myself out of bed this morning at 5 am to work out but when I started to move, I found out I was soooo sore from last night's kickboxing workout. I rolled over hit snooze and slept for 30 more minutes. But, I will get off my butt when I get home after school and do kickboxing again. lol

Sorry you were sore but at least it's a good sore, you know you worked out hard!! Are you taking kickboxing classes somewhere or doing it at home?
