Talking McDonald's Gets Fried

Once again courtesy of AOL and Yahoo I found another really good article. Makes me glad that I have started to make the right choices and started to (as my mother would say), "eat clean."

Enjoy,
~Carrie

I've seen Supersize Me as well and watching it almost made me puke. It definately made me re-think all my fastfood cravings.

Back in 2000 I was in an endurance comp. Part of the comps rules were to eat the food supplied so that everyone was on a level playing field so to speak. The first 4 days was Mcdonalds, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had indigestion by the night of day 2 and stopped eating altogether by lunch time day 3. I haven't seen super size me, but have to say my couple of days was enough to remind me for a lifetime.

ehyatt will become famous soon enough
I watched Supersize Me. He gained 28 lbs. in one month, and he was able to eat everything on the menu including chicken and salads. It took him a year and 1/2 of eating Vegetarian and working out to get his weight down and his health back on track. Wow.

Tammy I totally agree, I feel much better not eating the fast food. Sometimes I would love to get somethig, but then I remember how bad when I feel when I eat it and how good I feel when I don't. I take the good over the bad anyday!

I think that artical is just unsettling, simply because they denied it had milk and so on when asked the first time, and the retracted their story on a website. The first thought running through my mind is, how many other places are doing this as well.
If you ask me, fast food is too readly available. There isn't a road you go down that you don't see at least 10 different places to eat. And they think because they offer milk, and apple slices, these are "Healthy Choices". They offer Apple Slices with Carmel, and Chocolate Milk, or Vitamin D milk. Not to mention their salads are almost scary.
Now, I'll admit, if I have no other choice, I'll get their fruit and walnut salad. However, those are rare occasions. I think a lot of issues stem because food is everywhere. On the television, on drives to work, and home. Geez, food is even at work. (Even if you're not a cake decorator, it's still at your work place). How come you never see a Veggie fast food place? Or a fruit fast food place? I'm not sure about y'all...but I love a fruit salad.
Anyways, I could ramble on and on about this, because it's upsetting...but I'll spare y'all.

Missy, I totally agree with you. I couldn't believe what eating McDonalds for every meal did for him and how it made him sick. I think of the times when I have eaten almost every meal for months out (especially when I was single)!
It's no wonder I am in the position I am now.
