People who want to lose weight quickly need someone like her to force and push them. Why take the easy way and train with someone who isn't hard on you? You learn nothing that way. My trainer is a lot like Jillian and I love him...I have never felt so good about working out before.

He doesn't let me give up...he doesn't let me take a break..he keeps pushing like a drill sargeant and I need that or I will fail like I have many times before.

People need to stop taking the easy way..that's what led you to this point in the first place.
I don't think that we are choosing the easy way out just b/c we want a kinder trainer. The encouraging words Bob gives to his team is helpful to them - who says they are giving up. You can see that their results are just as good as Jillian's team's. I, personally, chose Bob b/c I like encouraging words - reminds me of my mom talking me through a difficult situation. His kind words would NOT keep me from working my hardest...we are all out to get the work done - we just like the help in different styles. There is nothing wrong with choosing the kinder approach. I understand that you didn't mean to offend anybody and that is fine - just remember that we all have different opinions, ways of learning, etc.

Lightbulb Power Within

I believe in the power within ones self for change.. when you are really ready and fully and truly committed to changing your life you find a power deep within your being to push yourself, yes a good trainer won't allow you to quit on your self when the going gets tough but if you truly dig deep you can be the one to push yourself.... I speak this as someone that doesn't have the means to go have a trainer everyday...I have done all the work myself..the push comes from the Powerfulness I feel every time I complete a workout and say to myself.. you can go another 15 mins...or when I shock myself by doing something that I NEVER thought was possible. It makes you push your self harder to reach further then you ever have before!!! I don't look down on people with trainers, but I do have to say that at the end of my day when I can give myself a big WHOO HOOO.. for pushing thru and going further all on my own IT FEELS DAM GOOD, knowing I did it on my own!

I'm right there with ya Damzel! It is within ourselves to continue our hard work and to push ourselves. I have done the same thing - it has come from within me to continue.

Patty Ann, I don't know where you found the original post to this, but I have to tell you.... Damzel's post was so inspiring that I've decided IF I do purchase a video it's going to be one of those.
