Melissa Lawson who is on nashville star this season(who btw has the best voice by far!) Is a bigger girl, very attractive, and very passionate about singin. She just went public with her loss of almost 70 lbs on NS. I hope to God she wins, not only for her talent, but to take focus away from this horrible anorexic Popstar BS thats goin on today.. Its so unhealthy for our children. Being pregnant, i think its important.

I totally agree with you!

Last year's winner on Britain's Got Talent was overweight and by no means a "10." But Paul Potts didn't win with his looks, he won with his voice. It's too bad this doesn't happen more often. But society is ranking appearance over ability and it isn't right. I have always wondered what would happen if American Idol was just a radio show and looks were taken out of the equation. I heard a study where people said they would rather live one year less, or lose an arm or a leg, than be fat. Really says a lot doesn't it?
