Great job on the walk/hike.
I am hoping for a snow day tomorrow too... even though I don't have any kids... I'd like to stay home (even though I will work from home if I can't get to the office)

I live in Iowa. A little southeast of Des Moines. So far, it's not doing anything but blowing. It's not supposed to start until after midnight -- snow, blowing snow, ice.... a real mess. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The biggest problem here, is they can't make a decision. Last time, my kids were already heading for the bus stop, before they actually called off school! It's so tough to get them ready, because they want to sit and stare at the tv, hoping to see their school on the ticker on the bottom. I can't blame them -- I'm the same way.

Well I posted this in my journal but I had a total crappy valentines and was really depressed, but I stuck to my points and did my pilates today. It was a hard first half of the day but I did it and now I feel sooo good.

Way to go Damzel! I do not think I would be able to walk into a Culver's quite yet. I am very proud of your meal choices, especially with your hubby and his cheese curds. lol!

the radio just said the weather is starting to turn so avoid all travel.... yippee! and yeah I'm at work
I haven't looked out the window but I guess it's freezing rain out there I totally understand your kids watching for their school to be closed... I contemplated this morning whether i was going to come in or not cause I can work from home if I need to. I decided to come in, unfortuantely now I am questing my decision.
I am probably going to leave about 11:00 for the day. Going home and painting my kitchen this afternoon

To everyone out here battling old man winter -- stay warm ... stay safe! It's not too bad here in Iowa, where I am. Not yet anyway. But we did get our snow day! WooHoo.
I'm feeling pretty 'blah' today though. Some virus has moved into my body, and keeps moving around... first my stomach, then my ear, then my eye, now I have a cough, and achy body. Ehh-- it's not too bad. But I am taking it easy.
The only think I am really proud of so far, is I reisited a Hershey bar. I gave my daughter some for Valentine's day (her favorite), and I was just in her room-- saw them on her dresser, actually took one out of the package, and put it back! I know she wouldn't have minded sharing one with me, so that's not why I put it back. I just told myself no-- I didn't need it, and I will feel really bad, afterwards, if I do eat it.
So, kind of a small thing, but I'm still kind of proud of myself. I think I wanted it, because I'm not feeling so good---comfort food I guess. But I know chocolate isn't going to help!
