HI everyone
I have been MIA for a few days due to feeling like poop...that dam women thing, made my ankles well up like baseballs and I was wiped out Sunday and most of Monday..but I got up on Monday and forced myself to do at least my one mile tape, hurt on my water balloons feet but felt the need....Got up today feeling a bit better.. water pills lowered my swelling enough that my weight was back to what it was supposed to be .. got up did my 2 mile workout tape with out problems...and well... for Valentines Day I just got on the scale a bit ago and I am down 3 Lb.'s...WHOO HOO! 326lb that is 17 pounds out of me for good!! So that made me proud today that I pushed thru the pain and made some progress!!!
Wouldn't you know it though my MOM and My Hubby bought me chocolate for V-day...go figure.. My mom said that it is dark chocolate and she knows I am not a chocoholic so I can have a piece here and there instead of eating the whole thing like she would...lol. I enjoyed one piece after dinner. Will probably take me 2 months to finish the lil package (that normal for me) But it still kind of made me go Grrrrrrr.... that two of the most important people in my life bought me chocolate...but I gave myself a good enough gift so I guess I won't let it get me down!!
Well I am off to bed just wanted to check-in and Give a Big WHOO HOO TO EVERYONE!!!!!!
XOXOXO
DAMZEL

Patty Ann, do you already have 3 lb. weights? 5 lbs. is a lot to start off with, (I know it doesn't seem like much.) If your goal is to lose weight and tone, it is more ideal to do lighter weights and just go for more reps.

Tuesday I participated in Jump Rope for Heart with all the 5th grade students.
(I was the only teacher, but there were some parents.) I came in 2nd place for the amount of time jumped-cool!
I bought a new workout DVD called-Ten Minute Solutions, Kickboxing Bootcamp. It has 5-10 minute workouts. Kicked my butt, but I did it. Now I am very, very sore this morning. I worked muscles I didn't know I had!
I am also proud because I was able to resist all the goodies at my students' Valentine's Day party! Whew-I am glad that is over!

Today, I am proud because I made myself go out for a walk. More like a hike.. moderately difficult trail. And, now I feel great! I was putting it off, putting it off, and was going to do an inside workout, but there is a storm moving in tonight and tomorrow, so I figured I'd better get out, while the getting was good. Yesterday was so nice, and springlike, and today is cold, cloudy and windy. But, not too bad! I walked through the woods, so the wind didn't bother me. I'm sure I'll be stuck inside, the next few days (hoping for a snow day tomorrow! is that wrong??? ) so I'm glad I enjoyed the outdoors today.
Now, I just need to get busy, cleaning my house, before the kids get home! Gotta go!

Something I did to be proud of myself today was I stopped and bought my h2o once again! Yippee me! Seems as if I'm not buying enough when I go, so I'll need to increase the amount I'm purchasing on my weekly grocery trip. Then for lunch I gave one of my slices of pizza to my son. I only took 1 spoonfull of dip instead of the traditional two, and I only took a little bit of potato chips instead of the usual hand full. Desert was chocolate pudding, which I guess might be better than the cakes I love so much.

Patty Ann, I agree that you might want to start with some 3lb weights if you have some and work your way up. I know. for me, when I 1st started learning the moves and doing some reps and getting my body use to moving I actually used 1 pound weights. I have now moved to 3lb and although they seem light at times, i think my body is appreciating me taking it slow. I'm pushing, but not pushing too hard for me.

Hey Muppet, where abouts do you live? You sound like you are getting the same weather we're expecting and had the same weather we had yesterday.
Great job on the walk/hike.
I am hoping for a snow day tomorrow too... even though I don't have any kids... I'd like to stay home (even though I will work from home if I can't get to the office)
