Mirror Mirror On the Wall
For the first time in a long time, I looked in the mirror and didnt think about how fat I still was. Instead I saw how far I have come from my top weight. I am over half way to my goal of 120 pounds. I noticed my shoulders are starting to emerge, my double chin is slowly becoming a thing of the past, and I am starting to get some actual curves. Wondering what the next 10-20 pounds will do?

Cheek Bones
What have I done today? Well I may be hallucinating, but I could have sworn that I saw my cheekbones starting to poke out. Even as an overweight, but healthy adolescent, I always had a chubby face and never had cheekbones. This is huge for me. I will have a whole new face; one without overly bloated features. This is worth celebrating.
Damzel where are you??

I have to say, I haven't felt very proud for a long time! But today -- I did my workout. It felt great. I ate a healthy salad ( spinach, lettuce, carrots, & a variety of other veggies, plus chicken), drank 48 0z. of water so far. I did eat some of the valentine candy my husband got me. ( early, I know-- I don't know why!) but it was sugarfree. And, I truly believe that if you are so strict, you can't eat a little piece of chocolate, on Valentine's day, that maybe you are being too strict. And, I did only eat a little. I have gotten most of my housework done. I usually tend to put it off, then am scrambling to get it done, before I have to start running my kids around.
I still have challenges ahead. The day is only half over. But it sure is nice to feel proud, instead of disappointed, and ashamed.

That is great. You have accomplished alot today! And don't worry about the one peice of choc. As long as you can keep it to that and you count the cals with your daily allowance you are fine.

This morning I worked out to my Walk & Kick video, ate an apple for breakfast w/20 oz of H2O, went grocery shopping, and made about 6 trips up and down 3 flights of stairs with groceries. I definitely got my workout done today...lol. I am also proud that I selected some healthy meals for myself. I also got ingredients to make the lasagna that was in the recipe thread. I have completed my 2nd bottle of water and will be getting another one soon. For lunch I had Special K cereal w/Skim Milk - it tastes so good.
I feel that I am doing a great job on this challenge. I am definitely patting myself on the back!

They sense you are on a diet and then feel the need to try and offer you unhealthy things?? I know they mean well, but too much "yes" got me here in the first place.

I have actually been pretty lucky with not having people offer me foods they know I cannot have at this time. My family is pretty much the only people I am around and they are supporting me 100% - not even tempting me to go out of my program.

It was SOOOOO tempting, but I said "nope" and kept on driving!!!!! Then my daughter pipes out "Stupid Tim Hortons, fix your driveway and you'll get more customers!!!!!" Thank you Tim Hortons!!!!!!!

Too funny! I'm glad that you contiued driving. I have done this so many times with McDonald's and Sonic...I want it so bad but I continue driving. I feel better about myself after I have passed it. Proud moment.
