Hello???

Hello everyone. I've noticed how few people there are posting anymore. Just wondering if anyone else is out there checking in, but just not posting. I know it's kind of nice to take a break once in a while. But if you've been away for awhile, just drop in and say 'hi'. Let us know you haven't completely abandoned us. And if you've never posted-- there couldn't be a better time to start. It's all about support and sharing and trying to keep each other sane as we try to get healthier. No contests-- no pressure--- just a place to vent, cry, laugh and cheer.
Don't be shy!
Carol

Yeah, this place lacks the motivation it once gave me. I used to look forward to coming here and reading about people's workouts and successes, tips...and no one seems to be around...it doesn't seem like anyone is even keeping up with this whole weight loss thing...just feels like a lot of people are frustrated and giving up. I hope once the show airs again, people will feel motivated and we can have fun here again.

I just popped by to see what was going on but like Missy said the forum is lacking motivational posts. I feel it has decended into a discussion of reality TV shows, day to day goings on and very little in the way of health and fitness chat.

I tend to disagree on post content not being inspirational. Weight loss is an entire lifestyle change. Meaning anything and everything. Not just food and exercise; but the emotional stuff as well. As I have found out (many times) if you do everything right and the things that caused the weight gain are still there and left unresloved; then the problem goes unresolved and will return. If my problems were solved; I never would have gone from 145.2 back to 175 just for the heck of it. Throughout our lives we are taught to self medicate with food. Chicken soup for a cold, Ben and Jerry's for when your heart is broken, etc. Once again; if food wasnt the problem, it isnt the solution. I come in here and let it all hang out because that is how I cope with my issues now. If I dont vent this way; I will eat. A calorie free solution vs a calorie fest. So I dont expect my journal to be all happy and sunshine all the time; BUT maybe it will keep somebody else who is going through a tough time busy long enough to forget about a binge. The answer to life's problems and hardships is not to be found at the back of the fridge or in the microwave. And it sure as heck isnt in a drive thru lane. Each person is different; and how they deal with things is different. You have to be happy with yourself first and your own successes. That is what really matters. As unhappy as I am with my current weight right now; I am thrilled beyond belief that I am not where I once was at 214. If you look back on your own journey; it shouldnt be too hard to find inspiration. If it is, then something isnt right. We all should be proud of ourselves. The fact that we are still here is inspiring. Weight loss is tough and unfortunatlly there will be people who fall by the wayside. We can only hope that in time they will come back to us. But we also need to focus on our own individual journeys; because that is what is most important. You cant force former members to return and I am no longer going to "estalk" anyone into coming back. A person can only accept help when it is something they really want for themselves.

Hi my friends!!

I read all the time but don't post like I should. Our company got a talking to (via -e-mail) about not being on personal sites a lot during work ours since the internet/intranet is used a lot for business and it takes up bandwith... so I usually only have time to read and keep up with what's going on. But don't have time to post. And once I get home at night - after sitting 9-10 hours behind a computer that's the last thing I want to do at night. Sorry, I'll try to check in more often...

I always get encouraged by reading your posts and look forward to seeing what everyone is up to evryday!

Gotta get to bed now... 5am comes early
