What brought you here?
Hi guys! I just thought it might be fun to recall how we found this site, and what makes us post here. I know there are people who've been around a lot longer than I have, but lots of new people too.
Last seaon, during TBL, I would visit the 'official' site. I didn't much care for it--- there were lots of regulars, and they didn't seem to be very hospitable to newcomers. Someone mentioned this site, so I checked it out. It was much more what I was looking for. Everyone was very welcoming. No one was rude. Now, that's an under statement-- they weren't just 'not rude', but very supportive, knowledgeable, and encouraging.
So, I've been here over I year, I guess. I haven't accomplished much-- except to gain and lose the same few pounds over and over. Well, I shouldn't say that-- I think I was pretty close to 200 lbs when I started. And now I hover in the mid 180's. A vast improvement, but still so far to go!
I keep coming and posting here because even though my success is minimal, I will not ever give up. I know that one day I will really 'get it'. Who knows if that will be because of the knowledge and understanding I gain about myself from my journal, or from the inspiration of someone else's success, or the support of good friends who and empathize with everything I'm going through... I will 'get it' someday, and I'll be here sharing it with you.
I wish I could be helpful to others. But I don't really feel like I am, because I don't have it figured out for myself yet. But I do like to encourage, and I hope others find a comment from me to be a positive thing.
Well, that's about it for me. Please share-- how you found this site? Why you like it? Why you post here?
Anyone out there just like to check us out and never post? We'd love to hear from you.... You don't have to do a journal if you don't want to, but I wonder if there are 'lurkers' out there. Give us a shout, if you're out there!

I can't really remember how I found the site. I think I was just googling the biggest loser and the forum idea really interested me. I was a big message board junkie before and thought this one would peak my interest. I wasn't a fan of the site you have to pay money for (Biggest Loser Online) I think, and I'm really happy I found this place.

I don't remember exactly how I found this site. Probably googling Biggest Loser. I also use to read on the offical site message boards but it seemed those boards focused more on all the people wanting to get on the show. I love this site and Weighins... The are 2 of 3 sites I visit every single day.

I was watching BL on TV the night after I'd just had knee surgery. I knew I was going to be stuck at home for a while, and I didn't want to gain weight while I was sitting around, so I was inspired to look for some help. So I searched for Biggest Loser on the Internet and found this site. It's really helped me a lot! I've lost 22 pounds so far, in 4 months, despite having some mobility challenges, and I really enjoy the daily interaction with other people who are also on the same path.

I was "googling" The Biggest Loser and came up on the link to this place. I have been lurking around for over a month, but never signed up.
