Thanks Phil

We all know the most important one being "chips" (aka: fries!!)

Where did the language originate? Some of that does not sound like English. Latin maybe? Although I do remember fish and chips from '90 when I went to London, France and Scotland.

I guess it just developed over the years as a regional dialect. We are mainly (but not exclusivly) Viking in our part of the world where as in the south its Anglo saxons. I guess its similar to your side of the pond. New Yorkers sounding different to Texans etc

Wow I never would have guessed Viking. It's mind boggling when I think about how many different languages and dialects exist today. I can speak some spanish (what little I remember from school) is broken and most likely not grammatically correct.

Clare is giving me "lessons" too.

So just out of curiosity; what are pick up lines like there? Are they as cheezy as the ones here??

I've heard something like that before. Not TO me but I have heard the line.
Somebody fell for that? No comment...
