Arrow Juice Fasting for Weight Loss

Since Carrie just finished going on her juice cleanse again, I was thinking about maybe doing mine again..maybe this weekend. I am kind of stuck around the same weight and need a boost. I was looking up stuff online on how to do this...since I can't afford a program, and I found these 4 ideas for the juices....

Morning Sunshine Smoothie
2 large oranges
1 red grapefruit
6 frozen strawberries
1/2 banana

Squeeze the juice from the oranges and grapefruit.
Put the juice in a blender and blend with the strawberries and banana.

Watermelon Dream Juice
2 cups cubed watermelon, cold
2 cups cubed cantaloupe, cold
1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled

Pass the ingredients through a juicer.

Strawberry Thirst Quencher Smoothie
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup orange juice
2 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice

Put ingredients in a blender.

Carrot Cleanser Juice
4 large carrots
1 stalk of celery
1 apple
handful spinach
juice from 1/2 lemon (optional)

Pass the ingredients through a blender

The last time that I did my juice cleanse though, I used whey protein powder in my drinks so I was still getting enough protein.

How does it work?

How long?
How many glasses?
Do you have to stick to one kind of juice only?
Are you allowed any food?

I have only done a juice cleanse diet by myself by looking up information online. I didn't eat any food when I did it...I drank as much as I wanted during the day, a lot of my drinks were water and then maybe 4-5 of the shakes in a day. I added whey protein powder to it so I got my protein..took my multi-vitamin and calcium, vitamin c supplements as well. I did mine for 2 days...Saturday & Sunday.

Thanks Missy. That's a good idea to add the protein powder - I was wondering how you would get your protein with this. I may have to give this a try to give my diet a jump start - I seemed to have stalled.
thanks for the info. I may have to research this more online.

I bought my protein powder at Vitamin World (in many malls). The juice cleanse I do now is thru LA Weight Loss so all I do is divide it up and add water. I am allowed to eat (small amounts) during the cleanse. An all out fast seems like a quick way to regain weight when solid food is re-introduced to your diet plan. Good luck and drink plenty of H2O to flush out your system and to keep you hydrated.
