Gurus

Richard Simmons, Denise Austin, Tony Little, John Basedow (sp) The Firm series, Beach Body, Leslie Sansone,.. I'm sure I could go on, but these are a few that have popped into my head.
Which ones have you tried? Who knows what they're talking about, and who's full of it? I just saw one of those John Basedow commercials. What he says makes sense, but he goes into the muscel man poses, and I just don't think I could stomach watching him. Tony Little is that short guy, with the long hair, right? He's a goofball!
Who do you love? Who do you hate?

I would have to say that aside from Bob and Jillian; my favorite weight loss guru is Richard Simmons. He has helped so many people lose gazillions of pounds and he is the real deal. You can tell he actually cares about these people; and isnt concerned with making the almighty dollar. He has appeared on Q104.1 with Wilde and Fee and I always try and tune in. Yeah he is a little goofy, but so what. Some of the gym trainers out there are very intimidating. I wouldnt feel comfortable around them with fat rolls. Richard doesnt care how much you weigh or what you look like. He is more concerned about your insides, and if you are willing to try. Many of the other dvds are geared more towards people who are close to their goals, or are in excellent condition. It's about time that somebody had a dvd out there for people who have difficulty just getting out of bed in the morning. I have seen many of his workouts and I think they are solid.

Wow...I have forgotten about Richard Simmons. I LOVE HIM! I think I am going to get some of his videos - I love to dance and I love the oldies. My personal fav is Leslie Sansone...she is always so positive - I always find myself smiling while working out with her. I can't stand the short guy with long hair- gosh, he is annoying...and Denise Austin's voice irritates me. I don't like watching her.
