I don't know if I'm just more aware of it, but it sure seems like there are a lot of 'magic pills' out there that have various claims on helping us to lose weight.
I have to say, I hate them. I don't know how they can get away with the claims that they make. One of them has this lady come on -- and she says she didn't change a thing, and the weight just melted right off. Uh huh. Sure.
I wish there was some regulation to these things. For one thing, I don't think they work, and if they do you really don't know what they are doing to your body. And, if they do work, which I don't think any of them do, in the way they claim, it won't last.
I know we all get desperate to lose weight. And, if there's something that will help, we're wiling to try. But please please please -- don't fall for any of this junk. Best scenario -- you're wasting your money. Worst scenario -- you have harmed your health by taking these things. Not worth it!!!!
There's only one way. It works -- it makes you healthier--- and it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. But it's hard!!! And it's slow. But I know if we all do it right, we will win this battle. And I don't just mean getting the weight off, I mean keeping it off. We'll learn better eating habits. Exercise will become as necessary as brushing our teeth. If we don't do it, we just won't feel right. The quality of our lives will improve.
These pills, and magic formulas make all these claims, but they are only after our money. They know how hard it is, how desperate we can be, and there's no one stopping them from making these ridiculous claims.
Be careful, and be smart!

If pills made people lose weight, then there should be no excuse as to why there are so many obese and overweight people.

There is no quick fix to weight loss...the diet industry knows people will fall for this junk because people these days are too lazy to do the work. That's why they are a multi-billion dollar industry raking in the profits.
