Thumbs down Easter Blues

Hi All

Yes- Happy Easter to all and I hope you had a nice break. Down under we had the Friday and the Monday off so it made for a nice 4 days off in total.

But 4 days of facing Hot Cross Buns, Chocolate Eggs, Cakes, desserts and of course the family get-togethers!

I certainly took my Lite-n-Easy meal to one lunch but temptation was still too much... however I still tried to satisfy my cravings by having half an egg, or half a canneloni... some control is better than none I guess

How did everyone else go?

1 Cadbury's Creme egg and 1 Dove chocolate truffle egg. But Subway for lunch was okay.

well done Jules- in the real world, it's difficult to control your temptations. We just need to keep our eye on the goal!

I also had Cadbury's Creme Egg - 1.5. I had a few chocolate tokens (money). What I have found the best way for me to settle a craving is to eat it - if I don't then I will eat everything in my sight. I think I did okay through the holiday. My children are out of school until tomorrow - 4 days out of school including the weekend - I'm ready for tomorrow. LOL

A trick I use when I get the sweet teeth, is make a fruit smoothie. I use some juice, strawberries, half banana, blueberries & rasberries, add some honey to sweeten it up but most of the time it's sweet enough. One glass of that and my sweet teeth is usually gone and I just had something healthy instead of candy.
