I think this is a great idea for a kick start and maybe if your trying to lose a certain amount for a special occation and need a little more help. But I think you would get very sick of it. But there are other cereals out there now that I see are starting to market the same type of thing so maybe that would help.

You definitely have to be a cereal lover to do this - I am one of those people...I love cereal. I am with Pat on this one - it fills me up until lunch. I have to be sure and snack between breakfast and lunch though - usually not hungry but make myself eat a healthy snack.

well i tried it!

well i tried it for a week, and like people on here i would probably get fed up, well i did!!
i dont know how people stick to it for more than a week or a few days.
i didnt lose any weight cos i couldnt stick to it fully either!
ah well it wasnt for me, if it works for other people then good for them!
i currently have food poisoning so am not able to eat much if anything at the minute, it has really changed my out look on food. i defiantly dont crave it as much, infact im thinking of going back to being vegetarian
good luck to anyone losing weight!!! iv lost some this past week but thats only from having food poisoning, not the best way to loose weight!

I was able to do the challenge for 3 weeks...lost the weight they said I would. This started my journey but do not do this anymore b/c it is important to have a variety of different foods. Best wishes to you on your weight loss journey. Sorry to hear you got food poisoning...no fun there.

I don't think that diet is worth doing. By eating just cereal, your body is missing out on tons of nutrients you should be getting from other foods. Cereal is usually very high in carbs and sugar as well.

Hope you're feeling better.

hi, thanks for all wishing me to feel better. at the minute i feel basically back to normal, but definatly dont like food as much now! i think this is a good thing!
the food poisoning lasted a full 8 days! man i was so weak by the end of it, i couldnt eat for like 3 days. found out it was campylobacter which you get from having improperlly cooked poultry.
i currently am still off work (have been off for 7 working days now) but doc says as i work with food i cant go back till we know that the bacteria etc is outta my system, cos its highly contagious apparently!
anyway im going on holiday on thursday night/friday to majorca for a week, so i have that to look forward to.
i am currently trying to keep the weight off that i lost. am just grateful to be able to get back into my weight and cardio programme now i have energy again!
i agree to whoever said (sorry cant remember your name) that cereals are high in sugar, some definatly are.
i am currently on a high protein, moderate carb and low fat meal plan.
best of luck to all of you, whatever your goals are!!

I thought about doing this before. But I figured once I'd lost the weight and stopped eating two lots of cereal i'd be back where i started.
