I have thought about trying diet pills also. I can eat healthy and exercise but I need something so that I am not always hungary. I took Phen-fen when it was on the market and had no side effects from it. I have not heard of "Dinintel" is it new?

The proper name is Asenlix/Dinintel it works well. One is taken on mornings before breakfast and one an hour before lunch it completely takes away ones desire to eat and it gives you energy. It does make you a little nervous/anxious. I know generally these things are not really effective but i figure I need all the help i can get.
Come on people i need feed back!!!!

Against Pills
I have learned that there arent any short cuts in weight loss. I tried Dexatrim once in high school when I was just a little overweight and it made me feel lousy. Then I tried Xenadrine a few years ago. It made my head spin. I had energy, but the second I stopped moving, I wanted to take a nap and felt lethargic. I recently tried Cortislim and that was ok. I think most of that was in my head. Over $30 a bottle is crazy. I am now doing it the old fashioned way. The tv losers didnt get diet pills and we dont need them either, we just think we do. Most of those claims are a bunch of junk because a few people were successful, and paid for their testimony. These companies are banking on people to buy their products because they are made to feel that they have no other way out. Sure I would love to have a magic pill to make this flab go away, but the real magic and power to change lies within each of us. No pill or fad diet can take that away from us.

I have posted this before, so I'm sorry for being repetitive. But I have a friend who recently told us about a product he was taking called 'release' I don't know much about it, or the medications any of you have talked about. He did say it worked, but it was disturbing listening to him describe how it made him feel. It almost sounded like he was high, or something. He said that wasn't it, but still, if it affects how you feel that much, I would be concerned about the long term effects on your body.
He also said, once you start taking pills like this, you're married to them. Because if you stop, you'll gain it all right back. So, I wouldn't start taking anything that you don't want to take forever, and I would be very concerned about what it might do to your body, and your mind.
Just, please -- be careful!

The old fashioned way is the best in my opinion.

I used to take diet pills all the time, but found they never did anything. I spent tons of money on these "diet pills"...and I think they are just a gimmick to sell to those who want quick fixes to their problems. Since weight and looks are hugely marketed, people always buy into it.
I figure if weight loss could be achieved by taking a pill, hardly anyone would be overweight. Exercise takes work, losing weight takes work...there is no easy way out of this.

People really want 'the easy way'. They have a pill for practically everything else, so why not fat? The claims these companies make for their product don't have to be true. They can say almost anything they want. I think there are loopholes, that make it ok, to make these claims, even when they aren't proven true.
I wouldn't even trust anything approved by the FDA. Phen-fen didn't work out so well, for a lot of people.
I wouldn't get suckered by the advertisements. For pill, or for some gimmicky weight loss equipment, or workout. Think off all the ab rollers, and total gyms are gathering dust in people's basements. I'm not saying these things are good fitness tools, but they will only work if you combine consistant use, cardio, and a sensible diet.

Every diet pill I ever took worked for a little while, once I stopped taking them, I gained the weight back plus some. I also wouldn't advise taking them for an extended period of time.
Here is my advice: I joined Weight Watchers about 3 weeks ago and I get a certain number of points each day. As long as I make healthy choices, I eat a LOT of food and still end up with excess points at the end of the day. I found that if I eat small amounts, that I can eat something every 2 hrs., keep my metabolism up, and I am never hungry. It may take a week to get used to, but you could also watch your calories, make healthy choices, drink lots of water and you will get the same results. I joined Weight Watchers on February 17th and have lost 10 lbs. already.
