Oh I love cats! - we've got a cat we adopted from a rescue sanctuary 3 years ago and she's so nutty but adorable! We want to get another kitten when we move house.

I just recently got a kitten he is so adorable and cute. He gets into so much mischied. He formed an attachment to my son , who is not so fond of him, and always tries to snuggle up to him in his bed, thats usually a night time battle between both of them, i dont get involved

Ahhhh bless him!! Hopefully your son will learn to love him eventually! cats are very persistant aren't they? ours is always trying to sleep on our bed when we leave the bedroom door open during the day and then she looks so cute that you don't want to disturb her!! lol. I can't wait to get a new little kitten - our cat was an adult when we got her so she was still very cute but not quite the same as having a cute little baby kitten!

Patty, that's awesome you fit into your pants now. What an exciting feeling that must have been. I cannot say I fit into my "Goal Jeans". They are a size 14, and I look at them every day, and swear it's going to be the happiest day yet when I can slide into them. I couldn't even pull them up last my thighs when I started this diet.

As for the kitten, I have my own fat cat. Her name is Danger Kitty. Danger for short though. She was a stray, and a wonderful addition to my home. Sounds like Maui is to.

Wow that is awesome to fit into your smaller clothes. Keep up the good work and soon enough you will be giving them away but because they will be your baggy pants. Way to go, keep it up!

We have all grown to really love Maui...he is definitely a special addition to our family. He is my husbands favorite...we have another cat - Snowball...he is finally getting fat...lol. We also have a MinPin...hubby has really started loving all the pets. The kids adore all of them...even though Maui doesn't care too much for Kenna (she is 2 1/2)...lol.

Our only problem with Maui is that he is always under our bed...how do we get him to come out more? Any suggestions? When we first got Snowball he would run under my daughter's bed - I had "grounded" him...lol. I would close the children's doors and that prevented him from getting under her bed...now he is under our bed with Maui all the time. LOL

Since Maui is new, he'll probably hide out for a few days. It's normal. Danger Kitty still hides...but that's mostly because she's done something bad, and knows she's in trouble.
Danger Kitty also has her own special area too. Since the manimal and I don't have children, our pets are our kids. He's also going to make her a "Kitty Palace" complete with pink plush carpet. What's funny about that though is, the manimal hates cats.
Maui might just need his own kitty palace...or an area just for him. Like under your bed. How old is he?

Maui is almost 9 months old...I believe. I noticed with Snowball that it took him awhile to come out and be with the family...I have noticed that Maui is starting to come out a lot more, too. I guess under the bed is just his safe haven...we all need a safe haven, don't we? lol My husband hates cats, too....but he adores ours. We have talked about making something for the cats to play on - just need to get the materials.

Do you guys talk to your cats like they are children? We do this all the time. When the kids talk to them they will say "What are you doing bubba?" It is so cute! I tend to call them "Big Boy - or Pretty Boy"...they are beautiful cats. We refer ourselves to the cats as "Mama and Dada"...just like they are human. LOL
