Non Scale Victories

Another site I post on has this thread and I think it is a great idea. Did you go down a size in clothing, is your double chin disappearing, do you no longer have to buy wide shoes..etc. This is the place to celebrate these victories.

I went down 2 sizes in clothing! From an 18 to a 14. I went to my mom's yesterday and was trying on some of her size 12's. Woohoo!

Thats great Elizabeth. I think we, at least I do, get so tied to that number on the scale when there other victories besides seeing that number go down.

I'm so glad to find this thread! I was going to start one myself just like it! Despite my aching muscles, I no longer pant completely breathless when I climb up 2 floors of stairs to the office. I also have way more energy that I did when I was always too tired to exercise. Ironic, but true.

Oh, and the dishes are easier to do because by golly if I can only have 1 cup of something and I'm going to count the calories I'm going to lick the plate clean.

My victory

My victory would be being able to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs (to my apartment) without being too winded. Being able to do my 30 minute workout without losing breath. Being able to go through my days without eating while I become bored - I workout instead.

Oh my, if I could go w/o buying wide shoes it would be a miracle!!!! I've had wide feet all of my life, but lately I've seriously considered going over to a men's shoe. (I have big feet to start with)
