Weight Watchers

Is anyone following Weight Watchers? A friend of mine is doing it, and kind of talking me through it. It sounds do-able. Any advice is cool

I did Weight Watchers several years ago and lost 20 plus pounds until I got in a financial bind and couldn't afford the $11.00 weekly dues.

I know that it does work, I've seen several of my co-workers lose alot of weight following the plan.

I go to a similiar support group, it's call TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) it's only $20 a year and is primarily for support. They don't have any set diet or exercise program that you have to follow.

Weight Watchers Online

Hi

I currently (well, starting up again on Friday) follow Weight Watchers Online. I actually enjoy it and lost 35# from June to Oct. One of the best parts is the cost, only about $50.00 for 3 months (vs. $11.00 per week). Also, you have access to your Points Tracker online as well as a Point Calculator, weight tracking, recipe builder and search, which in my opinion is more than you get for the $11.00 per week going to the meetings. I've been to meetings and never had a leader that motivated me that much. This way I do it from the comfort of my home. Online explains both plan types and there is Message Boards (like this one) for support and Q&A etc.

Hope this helps

Weight Watchers

HI my husband and I are both following Weight Watchers. I went to meetings several years ago and lost about 30 pounds before I got tired of spending the money to step on a scale.
My husband and I decided that rather than spending all the money for one of us to go to weight watchers we would invest in a really good doctors scale (electronic and accurately weighs up to 500 pounds).
We have all the booklets and just do the points and keep eachother accountable. Plus I come to boards like this to get encouragement (and hoppefully to be encouragement for others )

Totally good info! I am going to check into that. I hate the meetings, which is why she has been relaying info to me. Thanks a bunch

I am doing weight watchers right now. I have done it before and went to weigh in weekly and lost about 20lbs but slowly gained most of that back. So I had a friend get me a starter kit (she goes to meetings and I can't due to work schedule.) I am now back on it and loving it. It is easy to do and if you come to a place like this it is easy to stay on track.

Thanks Teresa, I agree with the support this board gives. I feel more motivated than ever. Most of my friends and family are thin, and they just don't understand what it's like for me. I went to a weight watchers meeting place and bought the books, and stuff so I am ready to go. My friend is so glad, and we are going to weight in with each other every wednesday morning.

That is great! It is great you have a friend to do it with. It also helps to always weight in at the same time weekly, that way you only have to get through a week at a time not have to look at the big picture and you have to face the scale it keeps the temptation of cheating at bay. So sounds like your off on the right track. YEAH!!

If your a sweet freak like me. Try Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches, Weight watchers ice cream and fudge treats. YUM YUM and 1-3 points! I have something each day.
