I didn't find weight watchers to be tricky. i found it very easy to use it just took some to get myself use to logging everything. But I did notice the results immediately, just a few days and I was down a couple pounds.

I am thinking about checking into this. I have noticed more and more products with the point system listed on them.

I love the Lean Cuisine Meals. They all have them listed on the side and Weight Watchers has lots of different things out there. It really makes it easy. I keep the meals on hand so when I need something quick I have them and also take them to work for lunches.

I stocked up on some of the "Smart Ones", I noticed that they have some Saturated Fat. What does your Weight Watchers group say about saturated fats?

Weight Watchers
I saw on TV that Weight Watchers was having a special. $15 for registration and first week's fees. I looked on the internet at both meeting and online options and cannot decide. Would love some more feedback from anyone who has tried this or is still doing this. What kind of materials do you get when you join either option? Is it really worth it, or am I better off counting calories and weighing myself at home?

Calling all weight watchers!
Was hoping somebody could answer my weight watcher questions today. (See the above post.) There is a meeting tonight and I haven't decided if I am going to go or not. I also found out that they have tops in Austin also. Didn't know which would be better for me. Please help!!!

Sorry but I can't help you make this decision. I am doing ALL of this myself - I do not go to a gym, I do not go to a meeting, I do not meet with a nutritionist ... I don't have the money to do any of this. I have been able to lose 6 lbs in 2 weeks doing it MYSELF! The things I do now are drink LOTS of water (about 100 oz/day), watch my calorie intake, and exercise @ home for 30-60minutes each day. If you think that you can benefit from WW - then by all means try it out! I hope that you are able to make a decision and one that will make you happy.

Well, I went ahead and joined and I am glad I did! It is so much easier counting points instead of calories!

Glad you are giving it a try. I love the points program. If you are going to have to count and track something, points are the easiest for me. Jus be sure to eat healthy foods. So many people eat their "points' in cookies or chips or junk, the points may be the same total at the end of the day, but your results will not be.
I also need the accountability of the weekly meetings. I know it is not just the points or calories alone. If I could do this on my own, I wouldn't need to lose 100lbs now would I???
Good luck to you, you've taken teh greatest step, the first one. Congratulations on that.

Thanks! I love counting points also. I have not eaten any junkfood or sweets since I have started this diet (3wks. ago) so that is not a problem. My snacks are like cottage cheese, yogurt or fruit. Making good choices wasn't a problem really, it was portion size and walking that tight rope between eating too little and eating too much during the day. The points really help keep me on track!
