If anyone has anything else they would like to add to this - please do so. I figure if we mark our weight and goal we achieved each week then it will be easy to figure what we have accomplished in a month. If you do not want to include your measurements that is fine - as it can be tough to get done if you don't have someone there to do it for you.
If you just copy this information and include your information weekly it should be easy to keep track of. Remember, if anyone wants to add or change this you are more than welcome to do so. lol

I'm here for anyone who needs motivation to keep on.

BEST WISHES!!!

I love it, but if we do measurements, we should all decide where to measure so we all do it the same. The plan I follow recommends 13 places:

Neck
Shoulders
Left Bicep
Right Bicep
Left Forearm
Right Forearm
Bust
Waist
Hips
Right Thigh
Left Thigh
Right Shin
Left shin

Then add the numbers for a total measurement.

?

does goal achieved mean amount of weight lost or could it be something new you did this week or something you might have passed up or worked a little harder at doing? or a new recipe you made this weekJust curious. I think its a great idea to measure at least once a month.

More information...

You do not have to use the form I am using...I am doing it this way b/c I started my journals at the beginning of the month. Like you have said you measure on Saturdays - that is fine. Use whatever form - just be sure to do it weekly...or however you want it.

The measurements - is that too much measuring? If not then I can do this - I will do whatever it takes to be sure I am doing it right. I have decided to weigh in at my doctor's office weekly - the same day each week - and I will have my husband measure me every two weeks.

Goals achieved are definitely what you want to enter. I have entered goals like passing up certain foods, walking, drinking water...whatever you want to put. If it was a goal or something you are proud of doing then enter it. This is where you need to pat yourself on the back.

And...YOUR WELCOME! Now...my ? is - Are we going to use this thread for our results?

Now that I think about it I need to start weighing in during week 2 so it doesn't confuse me. Anyways...I think we could report: Starting weight, current weight, weight loss, goal achieved and measurements. As you said measurements can be optional.

Patty Ann

I think this is a good idea. I am not so great at measuring myself though. I get measured at the gym once a month. I am all for posting our weightloss, goals, and moments to be proud of.

Starting Weight: 195 Last week
Current Weight: 190
Goal for this past week: Lose 5 lbs. Workout atleast 1 hr everyday, drink 8 glasses of water a day, no alcohol. I did it, my reward was a treadmill!
Goal for next week: lose atleast 2lbs., 8 glasses of water a day, workout 1 hr a day, no alcohol.... stay posted.

Moment to be proud of: I am a teacher and we had a staff development day where we attended a workshop. In the morning they had homemade cinnamon rolls (I resisted), at lunch all the teachers wanted to go eat at Chili's (They all had burgers, fries and chocolates shakes, I had a side salad with very little dressing and some steamed veggies). When we returned to the workshop they had all of these Hershey's kisses spread all over our tables (I again resisted), then at our break they had homemade cookies in the cafeteria (I didn't even venture in there). After the workshop we went to Joe's Crab Shack for Happy Hour to celebrate one of the teacher's birthday. They were having 99 cent Margaritas and 25 cent appetizers. When I walked in there was a huge platter of each of the following sitting on our table: potato skins, buffalo wings, oysters, shrimp, mozarella sticks, stuffed jalapenos and crab balls! Man that was hard! I wouldn't even gone, but we had traded names for birthdays and I was responsible for this teachers b-day. Another teacher and I sat with them and just had water with lemon. They kept offering us appetizers and telling us how a "little" wouldn't hurt our diets! Thank goodness the other teacher was there to support me. We didn't give in! Woohoo! I drank my glass of water, wished her a happy b-day and left! I was depressed on the ride home, but then got my workout clothes on and went to the gym! This was a really tough day for me and I am soooo proud of myself for sticking to my guns.

Way to go! You have done a wonderful job! 5 lbs in a week - AWESOME! I didn't even think that was possible. It is great that you have been able to acknowledge how well you are doing with turning away foods that you would usually have eaten. I have been doing the same! It is always good to have a supporter instead of those telling you that it won't hurt...those are the ones you have to be wary of being with when you are trying to change. We need the supporters!

That's right Patty Ann. I am going to stay away from the enablers. I think part of my 5 lbs. was water weight because I started drinking so much more water and cut out the excess caffeine. But I will take it!

When we drink more water - are we actually carrying it with us? I ask b/c I actually lost 3 lbs in this last week and I drink TONS of water.
