How reputation works.

There is a little above each post on the right that looks like this

This is your chance to give reputation to each other. This is used if you found a post from someone to be extremely helpfull or gave you a little inspiration. You can either agree or disagree with a post.

When you add reputation to a user it shows up in their User CP.

The more reputation that you receive the more of these you will get by your name. This is basically a way of congratulating you and letting others know that you have been very helpfull to other members.

I highly suggest that you use these. You would be suprised to see actaully how much it means to people when they log in and see that someone gave them some reputation.

It is also setup where you cant keep giving the same person reputation over and over, you must spread it around some before giving more to the same person.

Please use this wisely because once given it cant be undone.

Thanks for letting me know that I could add to someone's reputation. I have read a lot of really inspiring posts today. I am new and didn't know what else I could do other than replying to their posts. Thanks a lot!

I love to know when I have helped someone out!!, and I love the idea of being able to let someone know how great there are. We can all use any encouragement we can get out there!

It is nice knowing if you have helped someone in a time of need - it's also nice knowing if people like me or not. lol

Does everybody start out with one green dot? I see highlighting it that it says "X is on a distinguished road." From Aaron's post with 2 green dots I see "X has a distinguished Aura about" Can anyone say you were unhelpful, rate you down? These seem like strange phrases for a reputation moniter. I like the idea though.

I've tried to give someone a reputation dot before and it didn't seem to work. Has anyone else had problems with reputation?
