Treadmill!

Aaron, I saw your post about a treadmill prize for another contest. Awesome! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you having this forum. I think that having a support system for us is a critical element that most dieters do not have (and one of the many reasons that we ultimately fail). I was excited about news of the treadmill because I am always looking for ways to get a more effective workout. I see the contestants working out on all of these machines on the show and I am constantly wondering if what I am doing can even compare. I belong to a small gym that consists of a circuit of machines and jogging (a lot like Curves) and was wondering what I could do at home that would supplement my workout without having to buy a lot of expensive equipment. Any ideas??

What about working out to DVDS? The biggest loser dvd is a good one, also yoga for wight loss and aerobics would give you variety and all would give you a great workout without having to spend hundreds of dollars on one piece of equipment. I have an excercise ball that cost around $30 and came with a dvd and I love it!

It is great that you are giving away the book and DVD! I was looking into buying the book, but the DVD sounds great too. I appreciate you having this site, I am new to it, but it already seems to be very supportive. Kudos to you for thinking of it!

Aaron...I have found that watching the Biggest Loser has given me HOPE. I am a new viewer of the show - started watching the show with the families competing...before the engaged couples...sorry can't think of their names. Anyway - after seeing this show I have realized that it IS possible for me to lose weight and feel confident in myself again. This forum has helped me through this past week - I have thanked you many times for such a great opportunity to talk with others struggling to lose weight - here I go again. THANKS! I have talked with my husband about getting the DVD and book - I hope to get it one way or another.

needing BL diet info.

If for some reason I am not chosen for season 3's cast (it could happen) could someone please share about any success they have had with the book, DVD, and or online club. I know that the program has got to work but I would love to hear about some real life scenarios (meaning without the ranch, money motivation, Bob, or Jillian). I have purchased so many diet books and aids that I don't need to have one more lying around collecting dust or water glass rings.

16 pounds

16 pounds in 1 MONTH is totally awesome!!!!!! 4 lbs a week, is something to be very proud of. You keep that up and those last 65 lbs will be gone in now time flat!!!!

Weaverdelooh - it is great to know that your friend is working on her health. One of the reasons for me working on my weight loss is b/c I am working my way up to health problems. My family has a lot of health problems and one thing that scares me is getting diabetes. My sister is diabetic and I know that I couldn't handle it mentally...it terrifies me.

HappySmileGirl...I agree with what you have said about the best aspects of the show. It is nice to see "real" people with "real" problems - it has definitely given me HOPE in losing the weight. Like I have said - I thought that I was done for @ 28 years old weighing 245 lbs. I didn't think it was even possible for me to lose weight until I started watching the show.

Congratulations on losing weight - it is your first step. Keep it up! You ARE doing it!!!
