Week 2:
I missed the first 16 mins of the show because I was at work. When I tuned in; Jillian was raking Neill over the coals for slacking off. I distinctly remember the phrase; "You have to die in order to be reborn." While everyone else continued to sweat it out in the gym; Jillian took Neill outside for a 1 on 1 conversation. Jillian seemed to believe that once Neill ran out of excuses he wouldn't know what to do with himself. He did admit that he was scared and he did want to be there (Who do you think you are trying to BS there bud?) It is quite obvious that animosity towards him is beginning to grow. I think the only friend he may have on the show is his wife.
The Challenge:
The teams were led outside to these HUGE see-saws made out of metal. Each team had to see-saw back 100 times to win the challenge. The first team to win would get phone cards to call home. Black won, followed by Brown and Blue who also decided to finish even though the challenge had already been won. Part two of the challenge was to allow the Black team to go and choose three other teams to also get phone cards for home. You don't have to be a genius to realize that there weren't going to be enough cards to go around. I have a huge problem with this. These people are taken away from their families, loved ones etc and sent to have the crap beaten out of them on national
television. It would be a huge plus and boost for their mental health to let ALL of them connect with somebody off the ranch. For some it may help to renew their focus and passion for being there. But this is BL and life isn't fair; it's all about the competition and messing with people's heads. If it were ME giving out the phone cards; it would have been an easy decision. One set for the Blue team and one set for the Brown team...the other final finishers. They worked well together AND finished the challenge. The Black team chose the Brown team first. And then for some reason unknown to man; they chose White. ?????? Even Mark said he had a tough time handing the card over; but he hoped it would give Neill some encouragement. I think the Grey team also received cards as well. That left Pink, Yellow, Orange, Blue, and Purple out of the phone calls. Would it have killed them to get 5 min cards???
The Temptation:
The teams were split in half. One person from each team was in a different room. The idea was this...Each team member had to spend a total of 3 mins in a room filled to the ceiling with JUNK FOOD. You would think that after soooo many seasons of this that people would catch on. The team that ate the most calories won $5,000
So each person had their chance. While waiting for their turn; Paul (yellow) and Mark (black) started talking strategy. Mark had just gotten done saying that if his brother ate; he would break his jaw. (Oh the irony) Paul was saying how he had 900+ calories left to eat for the day. You could see the wheels turning in Mark's head. So Paul went in the room and began to literally pig out. Mark's experience was just the same. After the temptation was finished; Allison gathered everyone in one room and asked who they thought ate. After a few guesses; all was revealed. 3 people had eaten. Mark, Paul and Mallory (brown). Mallory had some small candy kisses or chocolate chips. The men had a battle that went over 900 calories. I forget the exact count but; Mark won by 13 calories. He had eaten something like 923 calories. Oh the irony.....
The Weigh In:
The numbers across the boards were low. Perhaps it was their bodies putting on the brakes. Or people hadn't tried as hard. Two shockers at the weigh in. Mallory gained a pound and Amanda (white) had lost nothing. It was heartbreaking to see. Both Jillian and Bob were furious that anyone had eaten; especially on the night before the weigh in. $5,000 isn't a lot of money when gambling with your life. Everyone felt badly and regretted what they did. The biggest loser team for the second week in a row was the orange team (Jackie and Dan). Below the yellow line was brown (Curtis and Mallory) and yellow (Paul and Kelly).
Then the Primary results started coming in. Brown was voted off because they were the bigger threat.
Update:
Curtis and Mallory are looking great! Can't wait to see them at the finale.
