Season 4 Auditions

No news is good news I guess. I've heard rumors of calls and things, but I'm being told that February 19th is one deadline day, and that they are finalizing the cast by mid-March.

I heard from the casting director (or at least one of them) that if I dont hear anything by mid-March then its a no-go. I am pretty content with how far I got in this process and quite honestly, I'll be okay if I am not selected. I had wanted to apply since the end of Season 2 but was too scared until I watched the season 3 finale and decided to go for it. Its a satsifying feeling to know that you completed a goal by doing the best you can....NOW I JUST HAVE TO WAIT!! well actually I decided to not sit on my butt anymore, I dusted off the bicycle and took it for a spin...lol my life changing experience has to start somewhere

I feel the same way you do. If I am selected that will be wonderful! If I am not selected I have learned how much support I have around me and I know I can make it to my goal. I have started walking recently. I figure I need to get in some sort of shape so I don't die on the show if I get picked and I need to get in shape if I am not picked. Hey, a win win situation! Don't come across those very often.

Junk in the Trunk - I am glad you caught the audio problem before you sent it in! I guess things happen for a reason and maybe your second tape will be exactly what they want to see.

Someone mentioned to me the other day that some of the reality shows give financial compensation for their contestants while they are away. I hadn't even thought about this. I just guessed my husband would have to do some good budgeting if I made it. Does anyone know if this show "pays" while you are away?
As February gets closer it is getting harder to wait for "the call". My family and I are going to Seattle over Presidents weekend. We get a little supersticious and are always looking for signs that something good is going to happen so we thought that would be so appropriate if I got a call while we were in Seattle since I auditioned there. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed too!

I see there is one more open audition. Is anyone from these boards going to that one?

I am wondering the same thing about being "paid" while away... does anyone have that info? I have received some info, but was never told this or not... And I was trying to figure out, if, oops I mean when I am picked how much money I am going to need while I am away...

I was told that they do compensate.....but have no idea of how much.

Yes, I made it to Seattle over the weekend and had a blast! We roamed around Pikes Place Market and bought lots of fun little trinkets. As we climed up the steep hill from the market to where our car was parked I had to stop to catch my breath. My girls were so funny, they kept saying, "Come on Mom! The hill at the ranch is bigger than this and you will need to run up that!" They are so positive I am going to make it. I am the only one who has doubts that I will be picked. I guess I don't want to get my hopes up and then be dissapointed.
