oooh! yes! Sign me up. I want to try to do it by Christmas. What a fantastic gift to my family. A healthy me... I am meeting a little resistance from my hubby (who also could stand to lose a few lbs) but I think he will catch on. It is hard to go from eating out all the time, to chicken & tuna at home, huh? Well, I'm w/ you and crimson. We can do it! Lets send pics to tbl4 when we get thin and tell them haha! We didn't need you anyway. Love you guys!

I love this! We will support each other the whole way! I am working on getting a picture of myself up. Then you will get to see my "before" picture.

I started my program first thing Saturday morning. I am counting calories too. If I restrict a certain food group too much it just makes me want it more and then I lose control of everything. I also find that I weigh myself everyday. I can't wait a week, I want to know how I am doing daily.

I did some emotional eating tonight but compared to what I normally would have done I stayed a little in control. Our cat that had a lot of medical problems had to be put to sleep when I got home from work. I was trying to deal with it the best that I could and help my daughters as well. My 13 year old locked herself in her closet and hid under blankets with her guitar. We are all having mixed emotions because we miss him (especially when he was healthy) but we are relieved we don't have to deal with all of his problems anymore. I know that sounds bad.

I am totally exhausted and ready for bed. I will chat with all of you more tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about your cat. Dealing with a pets health problems can be just as stressful as if it was a humans. My pets are part of my family....so it only makes sense for me to feel that way.

Crimson and Amy....do you have a digital camera? I would love to have us post pictures of our progress on a monthly basis. I was ready to put the spandex and sports bra on for the nation.....why not do it here!

I am ready for this challenge. Yesterday I worked a little too much in my yard...and am stiff and sore. But, if keep thinking.....if I was on the show....I would be really sore....so I can't let that stop me.

Tonight I am going for a walk. I want to work up to 3-5 miles a day.

OH! I am sorry about your cat too. Well, hopefully like you said it will be less for you to worry about now-- with all the problems. Hey, do you guys have myspace pages? They are a little easier to communicate on. Mine is www.myspace.com/amyrn05. I'm all for updating often. I've lost 5 lbs already this week. I'm so fat maybe it will come off quick. Did another 30 mins on the elliptical at the gym this afternoon. Trying not to take it too hard at first- don't want to burn out. I do have more energy- but tonight I am tired. I've stayed right at 1500 calories all this week. It comes fast-- learning how many calories is in a certain thing-- My friend had a banana this morning and a huge spoon of Peanut butter and I said "300 calories" She is so thin- and ALWAYS eating. I told her she's KILLING me! Nah, I can take it. I haven't REALLY Wanted something that bad yet. I just Feel lighter, eating better. You ladies have a good night and great day tomorrow. I don't have a my space page but I have been thinking about making one. I just got a new computer with high speed internet so it is much easier to do things online now. I am going to get one of my girls to take a picture of me tonight. I have a pair of shorts that are like the spandex and plenty of snug fitting shirts to go with it. Usually I try to hide all my rolls and bulges but for the before picture I gotta show them in all their glory!

I got extra motivated today. My high school reunion is coming up and there is a web page for people who are coming to post pictures of them with their family. I had to laugh because today this guy that I had a huge crush on in high school posted his picture and he still looks great! I thought "I can't let him see me like this!" It was so funny because I hadn't thought about him for 20 years since I graduated. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband to death. It's just funny how fast the thought of seeing those people reverts you back to high school insecurity.

Hey look! I figured out how to put my picture up! I started trying to set a myspace account today. I think I got the account set up now I just need to personalize the page. My girls are probably the only teenagers that don't have a myspace account and don't want one so they are no help at all.

My 8 year old was in a chess tounament after school today and got 1st place!!! I am such a pround mom today. I was so impressed with how determined she was to win this. Every night she would practice against the computer and against dad when he had time. Now I just need to use some of the drive and determination for weight loss!

Glad to finally see you! I don't have a my space account yet either. Maybe I will see if I can get one set up this weekend.

My youngest grandson (10-1/2) loves to play chess as well. I don't have a clue as to how to play....so I am no good. Good Luck as staying away from the Girl Scout cookies.....I would never make it! I am off to a weekend of gardening and weeding at a good friends. She has such large flower beds in her front yard....that the first spring cleanup is overwhelming. So, I also go over and try and help get it under control. I will be sore from it for sure.

Have fun in the garden today, it is so gorgeous outside! We are getting ready to sell our house so I need to start sprucing things up inside and out! I am hoping this weekend I can get the family to pack up all the things that they want to keep but can leave without so I can put them in storage and things won't look so cluttered. I am actually hoping they will just want to get rid of most of it so we won't have to take it with us when we move!

Well, It's good to see you finally got a pic up. Good luck w/ the myspace thing. It's hard at first, but then it gets addicting... Well, Anyway, I've lost 7 lbs this week. It has been a hard first week. You guys have a great weekend!!!

Fantastic news Amy!!! I don't have a scale, but will need to get one! I had one...but it died (electronic).

At this point I have no idea of how much I weigh.....I think it is somewhere around 238-243. I was at 238 for quite a long time....but then the holidays crept up on me.....and then all the calls from 3Ball. Might thought then was.....I didn't want to lose a pound....if I had the chance to get on the show.

I have thought about contacting 3Ball though. I thought I would pitch a mother/daughter team to them. I am concerned about my daughter's weight. She is too young (32 yrs old) to be having health issues from her weight. She is seriously considering having gastric bypass surgery. I would support any decision that she makes towards getting a healthier lifestyle. If surgery is what she needs to do it....then I am OK with it. A good friend of mine had it done about a year ago. He has not had any side effects at all from it.....and has lost over 100 lbs.
