Season 4 Application by Mail - The Biggest Loser Fansite Forums

I have printed out 3 copies of the application. I keep re-working my answers. I want to catch the producers attention, but I don't want to make myself out to be someone I'm not. I have been following your posts for a few weeks now, and I must say- it has been VERY informative. I had no idea they already had open casting calls last summer! I want to send in my video and application, but after reading your posts, I'm wondering if it is too late already? Is there a chance that the casting director will view new applications received by mail? They still say they are casting on the NBC website. Also, if I do send it in, does anyone have a contact name? I was not sure if it would help to have an actual name on my package, rahther than Casting Dept. Any thoughts?

Don't stress about the answers on the application too much. I laugh telling you that because I stressed a lot. I answered the questions very honestly when I went in for the open audition and so far it has worked. I told them about all the things I do with my family and my interests and they really narrowed in on a few things that they found interesting. If you have any hobbies or interests that define who you are I would say to stress that and really let them know about yourself. Things that you might think are dull or boring about your life they might find very interesting. I don't know if it is too late to send in a tape. The last I heard from them was that they would let the finalist know who they are in mid to late February. It really can't hurt to send it in and then keep checking back to the NBC site.

Thanks for the 4-1-1. Any advice on the 5 minute video? I can't decide if I should tape my regular day with the kids, carpooling to school, etc. or if I should just sit in front of the camera and give a monologue :^)

I would show your true daily life and then you can always talk to the camera while you do all the things in your day. But ,that is just my opinion.
