What is your theory
I was really upset with this past episode as I know many of you were too and the episode really got me thinking about a few things. This may sound crazy but what if that was what Bob really wanted Eric to do. You didn't hear the whole conversation and Eric said the blue team was important to him and then Bob said you know what you have to do, what if he was really telling him you know what you have to do to win. The only thing with that though is why would Bob want Marty gone? That is the only part I can't figure out. Or maybe Bob didn't have anything to do with Eric's vote and maybe Eric made an alliance with Jaron and Adrian, Kai and Heather did look shocked to hear his vote. Maybe I am over analyzing but I think there is something shady going on here. This season is disappointing it's not uplifting like the other seasons have been All my favs are gone, I'm not sure whom I would like to see win now.

Hi Beth,
yeah I had some of the same thoughts. I mentioned in another thread that when Bob was running with Eric Bob said "you know what you have to do." and Eric said "yes". Bob has said many times this season that it is a game, do you think he told Eric that if he really wants a chance at winning the money he will have to vote off his friend? I don't know. Maybe Bob believed that marty would go home and continue on his weight loss journey.
But maybe Bob had nothing to do with how Erik voted and Erik, playing the game, thought his only chance of winning would be to vote off his friend? I have no favorites any more either...

Well standing on the outside looking in, you can take things many ways.
Give Bob a break!, really, with his professionalism, saying you know what you have to do can also mean you know what you have to do to push your self to lose the weight...motivation....I know as a sports trainer!
It is like chinese whispers...
Every one on the ranch is a winner. The new contestant Adrian, yes i can see 2 points of view:
1- Coming out of a new routine, and comfort zone, walking into a already formed group, knowing that they are out to vote you off the second they can be an emotional rollercoaster, and when you are only shown the clips of her upset and angry, makes her look to be a whinger...And everyone here knows how challenging it it is to lose weight and how up and down you can get...
but on the other hand
2- She came on the ranch, knowing the challenge and how the other contestants were going to be....it's going to be tough, and mostly feel sorry for the trainer and the contestents...having to deal with their own crap yet alone Adrian's...when someone else could have glady excepted and been honored to be there...
Given all this, it is a show...and it is a game. Everyone has their own secrets and alliances within... And when we only see bits and pieces, you cant just assume...
Please all take no offence to this, it is not directed to anyone personally,,,
Regards

I just can't think that of Bob. It doesn't make sense. It is better for him to have as many blue team left at the end. No matter which blue team member wins, Bob wins, so there's no reason for him to pull for just one member of his team and leave more red and grey people around. I think they just clipped the words too short and Bob would have wanted Marty around longer. Guess we'll find out soon. If bob is shocked to see Marty go, then he'll know it was Eric and he'll react.

I know that is the only part I can't figure out because you would think he would want both of them there so he would have a better chance of winning, unless he wants Erik to win and thinks he can do it but not with Marty around. It's just odd because earlier in the show Bob was saying how Marty was looking like the biggest loser then he takes Erik on a private walk and tells him he knows what he needs to do and Erik agrees with Bob and then votes off Marty. If it's not Bob then like I said before Erik made an alliance with Jaron and Adrian, but yes Jules we will have to see

It's hard to imagine that Bob would want Erik to vote off Marty. Now, if the other player would have been another Blue Team member, then I could see it. But with the other guy being Wylie, then that would surprise me.
But, Wylie didn't lose anything this week, correct? Doesnt' that mean he's likely to pull big numbers next week? If you're going to 'play the game', I would think that would influence you as much as anything. Erik is due for some lower numbers -- he's pulled really big ones the last few weeks.
But it will be interesting to see how Bob reacts. He said to Kim, a few weeks back, when she was telling him he was training them too hard before a challenge, that he doesn't train that way. Like, the game was the least important thing to him, and he was just training people to do what's best for them.
I would be really surprised if it turned out he was advising his team on 'game play', rather than just diet and exercise.

There is NO way Bob encouraged Erik to vote off Marty. I think Bob wanted Erik gone. Man he was angry (or a very good actor).
