The 36 at home

I'm just as interested to see how the at home portion of this show is going to work. Something else to inspire me I hope, and I really want these people to succeed since they didin't even get a chance to stay at the ranch. Ps. Some of these people who didn't lose much weight were sick/injured this week. Many of them were still travelling home during this period too. Their journals are fun and include everything just like here -recipies, exercise tips, and their feelings as they start.
Cheers!

Thanks for posting this Jules!! It looks as though you don't need to be at the ranch in order to drop the weight. Very inspiring!

Theres some shockingly low numbers there. Guess you can definetly see how much easier it is to lose weight when you are taken out of your element. But others seem to be doing just fine.

Yeah, like I said a few got sick/pulled muscles. Some just got overwhelmed. I don't think week 1 was too fair to compare with the contestants since many of them weren't around home but instead were stuck in airports, etc on their way home depending on how far they had to travel. But hey, there are still quite a few double-digit numbers on there.

I'm so glad some of you all enjoyed looking at this, it took forever to put together. I went to each person's bio, and read most of their journals too. I'm going to keep rooting for ALL of them! Show people at home that we CAN achieve this without the ranch.

CHEERS!

Question

OK, I am blonde all the way to my roots so you need to explain this to me slowly... with pretty pictures

But I am confused about how the competition is set up with those who are at home. What happens if the biggest loser was someone that was sent home? Are all that are sent home included in the at home competition?

I didnt really start watching the show until 2-3 weeks ago so I am coming in to this a bit late.

This is a great forum btw!

The way it works is on the 1st show they had all 50 peple at the ranch. Bob and Kim for to pick their teams. And 36 got sent home the 1st day. They got to meet with a trainer and nutritionist (from what I understand) to get a workout program and they got a copy of the BL book and workout dvd and access to BiggestLoserClub.com. The man and the woman at home that lose the highest percentage weight get to come back to the ranch and compete for the prize of biggest loser.
I think that's basically it (anyone please correct me if I am wrong )

I think what confuses me, is this week they showed pics of people that have been voted off when they were talking about the ones competing at home.

cant wait to see how it goes!

They always show 1-2 people competing at home each week. And they also show you what the person that was voted off looks like today.

Yeah during the show they usually show some clips from the people at home..but at the very end of the show they do an update on the person that got voted out.
