I'm also really surprised they didn't tell Amy is was coming. The other girls knew. I think didn't want to have to give their real reasons. I'm not exactly sure what they are, but I do think they boys' saying why they needed so badly to stay did change some opinions. I don't think they wanted Amy to have the chance to change their minds.
But it seemed kind of mean to not tell her. I guess they were right -- she didn't need to stay there any more. She's a contender!
