What went wrong for Kathryn?

Of all the female contestants she seems to have lost the least amount.
Was she eliminated early? Did she have a hard time trying to continue on her own? In the finale episode she is wearing a pretty mean look on her face too. It looked like she wanted to hurt Caroline! I missed too many episodes. I don't even know how well she got along with her team members and trainer.
Who can fill me in? mia

I am not sure what went wrong with Kathryn. It seemed that she didn't really fit in with anyone on the show. It also seemed that she lacked the motivation that the other contestants had at the ranch. Because of this, I think that once she went home, she did not have the necessary motivation and support system that the other contestants might have had and it was all that she could do just to maintain the weight that she was when she left the ranch.

Kathyrn was the first person eliminated during Season 2. It seemed as if she didn't want to be there. Her facial expressions indicated to me that she was going through the motions. Somehow I feel like she didn't buy into the concept of the show or the process and she left too early to benefit from it. Nick didn't benefit from his involvement in the show either. I figure leave your attitude at the door and take advantage of an opportunity that few people have.

Absolutely butterfly! Attitude is everything. It just irks me that with all of the people that would love to be on the show, that these two people went through all of the trouble to get on the show only to not give it their all.

I watched almost every episode. Kathryn did not really seem to fit in with the others. She didn't seem to try as hard. I too wonder what the casters saw in her. Do you think that they deliberately pick a few people that are a bit reclusive so they will get voted off first? I hope not. Did you see what happened on the finale? Nobody clapped at first when she came out. It was very embarrasing. I felt sorry for her being up there with all of those hyper women. Also, what was up with (what's his name) the first guy voted off? He lost so much weight. If he could do that by himself, why did he need to be on the show? He was only there for 1 week. I didn't watch season 1. What were the first people to be voted off like?

I wish that I knew what you were all talking about with these people - as I didn't see the shows. From what it sounds like Kathryn was an outcast on the show - how sad. I can understand why others would have voted her off though if she didn't have the motivation or stamina to stick with the plan...if they would have kept her on the show then she could have pulled some down with her BUT then again...someone could have taken her under their wing and pushed her up. I think that I would have been one to take her in - I've been in her shoes before...you know all of us have. Being in a place where you are uncomfortable, scared, nervous, anxious...and knowing everyone is looking at your weight - it has to be scarey but then again - when you apply for the show you know that there is a chance to get picked.

Is there any update on her?

I super agree about her attitude. She was so smug. I think the only reason some of these people succeed is because they humble themselves and realize they are not perfect, and that they need ALOT of improvement. She didn't really want it in my opinion.

In season 1, the first guy voted off had lost this tremendous amount of weight. I think the contestants voted him off because he was too much of a challenge to them. At the finale the voted off guy shows up having lost even more weight on his own. In hindsight, I think the blue team voted him off because they realized that he didn't really need to be on the ranch and that he could lose the weight on his own. It makes me sad at some of the people that NBC picks, you would think they would go through much more scrutiny before getting on the show. But then again, they may have lied just to get on the show. "Sure I will have no problem doing what Jillian tells me"-famous last words of the hotheaded guy from Season 2.

Maybe it took the show to get him motivated enough to work on losing the weight. Maybe he learned enough within that short time frame to continue @ home. I think that it is great to see he lost so much weight! What is his name? Does he have a website?

Is she the one that said she wasn't there to make friends? Unfortunately it is a show and a contest and I think you have to make friends to get to a certain point... It has to be part of your strategy
