This isn't exactly a recipe but more a tip. When baking scones replace the fat with an equal amount very low fat mild tasting soft cheese (like philadephia). Works a treat.

mmmmmmm I love scones. I used to sell them in an old gift shop/restaurant and they were delicious.

A bakery here in town makes scones with candied ginger... to die for. I have to stay away from that bakery. There are no good choices to be made in there. And scones are awfully hard to resist...

I think the ones we used to sell were either Blueberry or cheese ones.
